I have followed your build step by step. I am new at modeling and find your building techniques and ideas exceptional. Seems this model takes a lot of time on my part but am almost done. Thanks for sharing your videos and talent.

Hey Steve.....thanks. Well looks like your team is doing well. So congratulations. Good luck to you for the Sweden game. On the other hand though.....your cricket team has levelled the series against India :(

Greetings from New Zealand... Never tried the marble effect as a pre-shade (as you've done here), in fact never seen it demonstrated ! - I'll be 'borrowing' this technique on a few builds I have in-mind for the rest of this year. Looking forward to your next project.

Hey Ian. I am glad you liked the video. I wish I could claim this technique to be my invention but better modellers than me have claim to that :) I would love to hear how things turned out with your project. Good luck :)

Hello,what is this gloss varnish ?Thank you

Very nice so far. How do u thinned the Tamiya X-22 Gloss Clear into the AB? Does it need to be thinned it? Or just straight out on the AB? How much thinner drop needs it and how much of paint Gloss clear has to be need? Thanks.
@scalemodellingmadness41146 жыл бұрын
Hi Bryan. I do thin down the gloss clear. I use Tamiya's paint thinner and I usually thin it down by a ration of 1:2. i.e. for one part gloss clear I add two parts varnish. As with most things, I try to use very light mix so that I have more control of how much paint/gloss is going on the kit :)

Sir, why are your wheels Glossy, they should be Matt ?
@scalemodellingmadness41143 жыл бұрын
did i? you are right, wheels should be matt varnish, even adding a bit of dust would not be out of place.

Had to stop watching after noticing the huge radome seam and others without sanding.
@scalemodellingmadness41145 жыл бұрын
So the seams on the nose are on the sides, which were sanded away. The "seam" on the top of the radome is actually there in the aircraft, so I did not sand it down. A few reference pics. www.f-16.net/f-16-news-article3356.html www.f-16.net/g3/f-16-photos/album38/album10/aew Having said that, this kit build is not perfect by a long way and I confess that I did goof up at places. The worst one for me is that the canopy did not sit properly and left a gap. But, I am still learning :)
