Porsha jumps for joy as she becomes the first female to be Tamiya Asia Champion and win the ticket to Japan! She is car #1 and third driver from left on the stand. Thank you to 黃怡仁 for the video. #rc #tamiya #TAC

She's a machine, she looks so relaxed on the driver stand. No wasted motions moving the radio around, just smooth driving moving only the wheel and trigger. I need some of her skills haha. Love your channel Joel, im the guy that recently tagged you in the facebook group with my tt01 build. Learned everything from your videos.....no slop in my car haha. Congratulations Porsha, look forward to watching your future races.

I'm so disappointed nobody took the jump after the driverstand straight 😂 Well done to Porscha, that was some clean racing. :D

Happy for the winner but I don find it a bit condescending that you mention she is a "girl", almost as if it was a suprise that a girl could win.
@rccartips2 ай бұрын
It's ok, the girl is my daughter and she's fine with the term. Daddy's girl :D It was a pleasant surprise for highest officials of Tamiya Japan as it was the first time in the 20+ year history of the event that a female became champion and won the trip to Japan :) Hope you don't read to much into the term girl. I know even the word "woman" trigger people in some countries, but here in Asia the term girl is celebrated in a positive light. And when it is stressed a girl becomes champion a lot of girls tell her they are now motivated and would like to try themselves. R/C is too male dominated and we need to emphasize the achievements of females to attract more into the hobby :)

@@rccartips It does not matter if you use girl/woman/female. The point is by making gender an issue, you imply that somehow she did something amazing, something unexpected. She won not because or despite being female, she won because she was the best on the day. Congratulations and good luck in Japan.

@@johncrow5552 you're being ridiculous, nobody overseas wants to hear about silly american gender nonsense.
