So yes I took the Shelee Art Course and yes I learned a lot from it including how to do this technique. No these are NOT the identical products used in the course but the outcome is the same, With patience and practice you get better and better. All I can say is if you have questions or are confused after this then you need to take the class. I am in no way the creator of this technique. I am just a student that wants to share some of what she has learned. Am I just as perfect at this technique that Shelee is? Not even close but I try nonetheless. Haters don't waste your time leaving nasty comments. There is that old saying that says I am rubber you are glue, what bounces off of me, sticks to you!
All credit for this technique goes to Shelee Art. You can follow her amazing artwork on Instagram or see limited tutorials here on youtube by clicking this link / @sheleeart

I'm just going to chime in here because it needs to be said.... these people that are attacking you and your character for now showing a specific technique in it's entirety need to STOP. Watching your channel and watching you and other artists that share their art is a PRIVILEGE, not an OBLIGATION. NO ONE is entitled to information that you use or don't use on your channel. You and every other KZfaq artist/channel are inviting people to watch you, your channel, your techniques, your trials, your fails, your wins..... these entitled, argumentative, rotten people can decline the invite and move along. Keep doing what you are doing and keep your chin up!!!!

@@tammyandersonart and i will help you kick some internet ass if i see any rude negative comments !!! People have already tried that crap on Fiona because she is coming up with her own technique as well as Jenn Neil and one other girl i cant think of right this minute. You are ALL entitled to show your own way of doing things .... all the fighting is making me not even want anything to do with it . Im sooooo sick of hearing/reading about it . An artist that i have followed for a long time now treats me like crap now because I mentioned to a couple of people that there are artists coming up with their own techniques and getting great results so screw her if she wants to be that way im not going to subscribe or support anyone who acts & treats people like that. But yet at the same time an artists can be shown a video in PRIVATE be the person who created it and then copies it , changes the name and starts putting it out there like its her own and wants to use it to charge her people how to do something she flat out stole from someone else then all of a sudden its ok because of the "oh nobody owns any technique " bull💩..... which is what i wanted to talk to.you in private about just to get your opinion & thoughts about it . So i will definitely get a hold of you on that its just bern a crazy week. But thank you for this video and NOT for what you showed everyone but thank you for the message you are sending out.!!!! As a newer person to.pouring i have seen what i THOUGHT was a friendly helpful supportive art community turn into something ugly that makes me wish i would have never joined some of the groups or subbed to some artists. @@tammyandersonart its not like it was NEVER going to get out anyway. Im sure Shelee is smart enough to know that once she put it out there & started offering classes the odds of her technique being put out there for all were pretty high anyway , there is no way for her to control it or no way to control if someone else figured out their own way of doing it so why not offer classes and make the money while she can & good for her , i think it was a smart move on her part . Jenn Neil has been working on "cracking the case" for a very long time now i think she said over a year or so & she pretty much has the same results. So eventually it was gonna make its way out . I myself have a hard enough time with the Dutch that i could care less about the blooms because there's no way I'm ready for something like that and now with all the crap going on because of it and people turning on each other over it & people getting pissed because others have figured out their OWN ways to get the same results which is actually none of their business to begin with and some artists even acting like they are better than anyone who hasn't taken the class ...its turned into the HAVES & the HAVE NOTS .... no artist is any better than anyone else because they have taken the class ... good for them .... and good for those who have figured out their OWN ways of doing it ...more power to them .... its ART for Pete's sake ....its supposed to be something beautiful not all this ugliness & bickering back n forth . And if people like you , fiona , jenn & a couple others want to put out your own versions thats great and more power to all of you . NOBODY has the right to talk 💩 to ANY of you !!!! Imean seriously who could be mean & rude to any of you... all of you have ALWAYS been kind & helpful to anyone & everyone who asked or needed help , you have all put your personal time , effort , money ,& hard work into EVERY technique or video so why should this be any different. Dear Tammy, I’m simply astounded that people are complaining about anything. You went to the time, trouble and expense to learn this technique and share it, and people are complaining about it. I totally agree with you, they should go take the class themselves. I really appreciate that I can learn from your videos, and I do understand the expense, time involved and pure love ❤️ you put into your art and videos. I live in the mountains in Wyoming, 1/2 million people in the whole state, the nearest mall is 150 miles away. If I didn’t have you and a couple other artists to learn from, I wouldn’t be learning this art form. I always look forward to hearing your cheerful voice, and you have a great teaching technique, which is hard work itself. Please don’t let people who couldn’t be satisfied if you paid them get you down, you don’t see them trying to do what do you do, from your heart❤️. You have a gift and a kind heart, remember that. Thank you so much !!💕

There are so many comments here I'm not sure if mine will get lost in the pile, but just thought I would add my two cents. I took the course, and I'm part of the private group, but I say very little in the group, and nothing to other artists here on KZfaq. I have been shocked to see the hurtful things people have said both in the group and to other artists. No one forced me to pay for the course... I did so because I wanted to learn the technique. Did I figure that sooner or later someone else would come out with it for free? Yes! I've never taken a course, and decided that for once I would do so. Ever since I got into fluid art, which I did to help with the loss of my husband, it has amazed me at how many artists, including yourself, who so willingly share their techniques with those of us trying to learn. I can honestly say that what you showed here was more straight- forward, required fewer products and looks easier to mix than what I learned from the course. Frankly I'll be happy to just get results regardless of who teaches it, cuz up to now I have had zero success! I'm anxious to try this with your recipes and directions. Thanks so much for sharing, and HOPEFULLY this will stop some of the bickering! ❤🖌🎨

I am so happy you commented. I was so tired of all this nonsense that I had to do this with the Hope's that people will stop attacking one another over something so simple as a technique. I want to be able to help people pl le like you that are struggling and really arent getting the help they need by just reading what people are doing and I havent made a video to help because I didnt want to deal with the ridiculous bullying but now I've just had it. I will teach my simple yet effective way and continue to get more in depth as the videos continue to come out. This was just a quick demonstration to break that barrier but you better believe I will keep going and keep helping😘😘😘

Debbie Scott, I agree 100% with what you said. It's awful the things people say....They must not have a life to do nothing but to sit and hate on one another. The art of learning is just that. We all have to start some where, and I feel sorry for the people that want to try and do this and now are afraid to because of attitudes of others. Pay no attention to those people, most of them don't know what they are talking about. I to have lost my husband 2 years ago and nothing will replace him, but I came across this type of art to help full fill the emptiness I feel inside. Tammy, you were one of the first that I started watching on you tube, I want to thank you for your kindness and your open heartedness....I could tell by the tone of your voice in this video that you were NOT a Happy Camper....For us that love your video's continue on. In my opinion i believe the one's who are being so childesly are just jealous because they probably wanted to be the 1st one's to have it on there channel and if everyone would pay attention i didn't take the course but from what I gather she is not doing it step by step the way it was taught in the class she has turned it into basically her own technique by doing it her own way to make it easier for her subscribers to learn which is why I have been a subscriber for a very long time and will continue to do so I would like to tell alll the ones who are being ugly to her to stop being jealous and growup and leave our Tammy alone dont worry about what she does on her channel worry about what you do on yours gently saying mind your own damn business we love you Tammy keep on keeping on gf

Yay!!!! Way to go! I did a video recently showing how I use Shelee’s PM recipe without giving away the secret sauce info-I felt bad about it because I usually share all details. I didn’t share for two reasons-1. It was new and out of respect for Shelee I wanted her to get the most $$ she could for the course since her KZfaq channel wasn’t making money at the time; and 2. backlash. I already went through a very unfair experience and wasn’t up to go through it again. Thanks for breaking the ice! I love the blooms but my heart lies with the abstract and experimenting with the PM recipe with other techniques. I feel as if a weight has been lifted and I will be sharing on my own channel. Rock on!!

Tammy Anderson . I just want to say that my heart goes out to you. I could hear the strain in your voice as you showed your version of this technique and it seemed like you had been left with no option but to demonstrate a method that you had altered thus changing it significantly from the original artists recipe. I am so, so sorry that there are cruel, selfish people on KZfaq ,who expect to be given all of your hard earned knowledge for free. It is obvious that you are yet another artist who has been bullied and for the sake of some peace and sanity whilst trying to keep this form of art stress free and enjoyable for all of us whether we are new artists or those of you with long term experience that hasn’tcome easily , you have been so brave to have come out and shared enough knowledge to hopefully keep the horrible , mean people busy until they can find something else to bitch about! I admire you so much for your being consistent and mindful of the original artists situation. You promoted her online course at every opportunity and l for one will still do as you recommended and pay for her online art course. This is due to your recommendation. Have no regrets Tammy. You are such a lovely , kind hearted person and you have taken on the only action which could have stopped all of the bickering between artists and subscribers and amateur artists alike. Stay strong through any backlash because there are so many of us who adore you and will be here to defend you. You deserve the biggest part on your back for being so courageous and for daring to come up with a solution to this mess. As you have said, art is to be enjoyed and the biggest lesson that some people need to learn is RESPECT not entitlement. Keep up your amazing work and let that beautiful, unique personality of yours shine on through. Send my love to Karen from Waterfall Acrylics. I have seen and heard the stress that she is also under due to the in-house fighting over this secret recipe. I hope that Shelee understands the reasons behind your sharing of your altered version of her technique. Try not to let the awful people bring you down Tammy. You have so much going for you in the very best of ways and that is why l will never cease to support you and the beautiful work that you do and all that you so selflessly give to the rest of us. Thank you for making my day extra special and for putting a smile on my face each and every time l watch you on KZfaq.😀❤️💚🎨👩🏼‍🎨

I would never have thought of polyurethene but i have looked at chemical disspersants.. thinking of unbinding the colour to make the blooms.. i think a lot about the beautiful art is see on here.. part of the fun is the science behind it, for me at least. weirdo yep.. I LOVE your respect for Shelee and her technique.. and i adore you for your spin on it still not giving away anything but being your unique self.. your creations are so beautiful.. i will never understand people who hate on others who are just generous with their time, and work. grrrr. i appreciate youtube artists.. i wish i could learn everything.. but then there would be no time to paint! :)

Tammy. I totally agree with you on what people think you should do or not do. I have Shelee course and I love it. I think she is great and does a beautiful job. But I love your technique and what you are doing. Don’t let people get you down by what they say or want. These people basically want you to do it for them. If I don’t quit understand something I watch it over and over and try try again and again. I have to make my own mistakes in order to learn it. I don’t need you to hold my hand. These people are lazy and want you to do it for them. Don’t feel bad you are teaching don’t do it for them. Make them try with error and success. Thank you for sharing. Love your paintings

I agree with absolutely everything you said. I also paid for the course and I felt that it was well within Shelee's right to market her technique which she spent a very long time and a lot of money to perfect. I also think that now that the cat is out of the bag then unless you signed a non disclosure agreement which non of us did as far as I know, then it is our prerogative to share if we feel the need. It is what it is. It is inevitable that the secret will get out. And for those You Tube artist whose channels are tutorial based then it seems strange when they leave out the steps to this process. It almost feels disingenuous to your subscribers, although by no means is it a requirement and no one should be shamed or berated in any way. You know what they say, if you have nothing good to say then say nothing at all. One way or the other we are all just trying to create beautiful art. Thank you for sharing. 😘

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, Tammy. I just started during the Pandemic. My Mom passed the day after Christmas 2019 after an extended illness and I was her caregiver. I was taking too much time off work and I was past the age of retirement so my company nudged me to retire. Then comes Covid. So I was stuck at home with no plan. Acrylic Paint Pouring saved my sanity. I truly appreciate your heart of a teacher. Thank you again.

I agree with everything you said. The problem, as I see it, is that people in today's society have a sense of entitlement. No one owes it to anyone else to share their techniques. And if an artist wants to charge for their hard work in adapting a technique, that is certainly their right. Just as it is your right to share the knowledge you have gained from that artist. If it was not meant to be shared, then there should have been an agreement not to do so. Thank you for sharing!

I have found just from sharing posts on FB for crochet, that people want everything spoon fed to them and they complain if you don’t or if they cannot immediately reproduce - when, as you’re right, skills take practice. I’ve crochet for 50 years and almost never use You just continue doing what you’re doing and don’t mind what others say. Those people aren’t worth your frustration!! I bet you that everyone that is complaining about not getting Shelees course for free, would be very upset if they didn’t get paid for the skill that they do day in and day out at their job. And, if they’re on a limited income because of a disability and or other issues; then they’d be really upset if that check was missing a significant portion when they received it. I get so excited when all y’all show me a painting and how you created it. I often use that painting as inspiration for my painting, and/or as skill building as I am a newbie. I want to thank you (in advance, because I haven’t even seen the whole video yet) for taking the time to explain what you haveExplain. And thank you also in advance, for showing us the bloom technique. Many artists have already done that and people who cannot afford to take the course can route through the KZfaq videos and find those artists such as waterfall acrylics, Gail Bernstyn of “Life in splatters“,to name a few.

Tammy, I went to art school at FSU and we all shared all our techniques all the time. I actually paid for Shelee’s class and I was very excited to take it. I agree that people are spoiled because we all have been able to learn at our own pace for free. I said all that to say every artist has a right to charge for their style and technique. All the infighting over this is so thoughtless and childish. You are so gracious and I am sorry you and other artist are going through all these attacks from people. You are a caring and thoughtful person that deserves better from those who are complaining. I will continue to follow all you do because you are very talented but more importantly caring. Thank you for all you do on our behalf.

You almost had me cheering you on Tammy. No matter what "recipes" are out there, even those who've done a course will find their own mixes and their own methods, and that's how it should be. People can be so nasty when they don't get their own way, and I don't understand that at all. You have my support. I've been thinking about doing the course and still am, but like you, I need to save up for it and, although I work, I have other hobbies and other commitments the most expensive and important being the pending rebuild of my orchid terrarium.

Thank you for sharing this, Tammy. This was a WONDERFUL video... you made such good points that so many people have been needing to hear. I am grateful to Shelee for putting out her course, and I am thankful I took it - it was worth every penny I spent! But it has been driving me batty that so many people who took the course have been going around saying it is "proprietary" and "copyrighted" and beating up on anyone who shares even the tiniest bits about the process, or people like Jenn Neil who haven't even taken the course! Lots of people in the group hate my guts because I have been vocal about it... I have definitely gotten some hate thrown at me just for making that point and speaking the truth. I just think misinformation about that (ownership) is harmful to the art community (on a large scale)... nobody owns a style or list of ingredients. But anyway, you rock Tammy... you have done something BRAVE and GOOD for the community!! You are well loved and for good reason.

First: thank you for your honesty. Second: ignore the trolls. Third: "imitation is the highest form of flattery" so if the very talented Shelee or anyone who's up in arms on her behalf doesn't understand that, well, quite honestly they need to get over themselves. Who invented pizza? Who invented ice cream? Who invented wine? Did THEY get pissed off when other people started making pizza and ice cream and wine? Unless there's a copywrite on something, then nobody has the right to say boo. You're absolutely correct: the internet has spoiled people and made them feel entititled and whiney and truly it's shameful when there are so many more important things people should be upset about and focussing their energies on. I heard that for all the artists in the US or Europe that the recipe needed to be different than what Shelee used in Australia, apparently even our floetrol is different to yours, and the products she used is different to the ones in the US so it seems to me that everyone that is in a country other than Australia is using a different recipe that they had to work out for themselves....apparently with help from the fb group...I also come across someone who has made a recipe that she has experimented with to get the technique....on her own without the course.....I don’t know how correct this info is as I haven’t done the course and doubt that I will because I have way too much other art of every medium..I only pour occasionally and have way too many supplies for that as it is......I hope that all this nastiness stops and it’s peoples own choice to choose to pay for any course ...I have paid a lot of money in the last four years for in person art classes and two years of online classes that I have only ever gotten around to completing one class painting! I didn’t realise all this terrible stuff was going on, sounds like it been bad ....🙁🙁

Every video that you and your fellow artists share is a teaching tool. I appreciate them all. (Just because you shared your take on the bloom technique didn't take away from my interest in the course, by the way. It added to it, come to think of it. The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know and how much more I want to know. I think your impressions are a generous gift to those of us saving for the course and I expect to come back and watch again after I've taken it.) I started pour painting not because of the pandemic but because an unscrupulous contractor ripped us off and I needed to destress. Other outlets weren't open due to the pandemic - I couldn't even have coffee and vent to my friends - but this solitary activity is soothing; and it becomes social when we connect with artists like you. I subscribed after listening to your guidance during this video. Thanks!

NO ONE should be criticized or bullied into sharing a part of their art that they’d like to keep for themselves or to sell in a class. Always remember it’s a gift that these creators share their techniques with us and be happy they did, be grateful and thankful. In the past you literally had to pay to learn any of art you see on here. 🙂

krystal345100 Everybody has a right to keep their knowledge to themselves. I wasn’t disputing that. But if Shelee didn’t have people sign a non-disclosure agreement, she left the door wide open for her techniques to be shared by anyone who took the class. I personally would have kept doing the technique and not shared it with anyone until I was ready, if ever, with the knowledge that it would no longer be my little secret. But, sharing knowledge is what makes the world go round. Art is not pivotal in that but it sure does make it more pleasant to live in. The fact remains that at least one person figured out how to get similar results without taking the class and has shared that as well. I am grateful for all of the knowledge that is shared so generously and I agree that no one should be bullied into doing so. I hope that my comment didn’t lead anyone to believe that I think that is ok or that I’m not grateful. Having said that, I haven’t even tried the technique because I don’t want to do what everyone else is doing. If anything, I’ll use it in combination with other techniques or modify it into something different for my use. In my opinion, it’s not special anymore. I followed Shelee on Instagram just to see the beauty she was creating. Now I see it everywhere. I hope she made plenty of money through sales and the classes prior to all of this...

As someone that has spent many hours on KZfaq, doing research and already spent 100's of dollars on supplies to be able to start playing with acrylic pouring and also resin pouring I am totally thankful for this and many other yourtube videos I have watched. You are inspiring, inspiational and from what I've seen a very caring and sharing person. I have dabbled in many crafts and art mediums over the last 40+ years, these are 2 mediums I am yet to experience and have already found in the last couple of weeks there are not many that will share info, especially in Australia. So thankyou, Thank you, THANK YOU I can not wait to get started, maybe you will see me on KZfaq too lol or at least my hands and creations, as I am a little camera shy hahaha

You paid for the information. If she didn’t want it out there she wouldn’t have sold her technique. It’s yours now. Besides, you didn’t give away secrets- you shared your technique after taking the class. Make some tea and make art:)

How absurd. So if you purchase a DVD at the store, you now own the rights to the movie itself? How about if you purchase a book, do you own the rights to the book? Paying for something doesn't make it yours unless ownership is part of the agreement. This is true of anything. That being said, she says her recipe is different so it actually is hers and she is choosing to share that.

Maria Davidson that’s a rather silly comment...of course you don’t own the rights to the book or the dvd, but it does give you the right to loan that book or dvd out to someone else 😳

Maria Davidson if you watch a DVD or read a book you don't sign a confidentiality agreement where you're not allowed to talk about what was in the movie or book! Once an idea or technique is out there you can't stop people from copying. We wouldn't be able to use recipes, sew our own clothes...all sorts of things. And what about the person who first mixed and poured acrylic paint? Aren't we all copying them?

Is there something bad about using silicone to create cells besides the light residue it leaves behind? I notice a lot of artists say something along the lines of, “and I don’t have to deal with silicone” is it just preference?

I've been following you for a long time. I am an artist too and have been since I was a kid, now 57. Creating KZfaq videos is NOT easy and something I couldn't do. Thats what I give extreme credit to all KZfaq teachers. I have my techniques too, but I dont credit it to Shelee, because science is cause and effect. I get these lacy cells w/o her method. She was very smart in her teaching and extremely generous to even blast it out to the world! though what wasn't taught was the chemical reaction., the science behind chemical reaction, so if we are using ingredients that react a certain way, you too will discover things. What all KZfaq artists do is what I am blessed to have learned. I learned to Crochet. I learned how to pour paint. I went from painting with a brush as a dyslexic artist to this. However, Blowing paint has been done for 30 years. I was in High School, 1979, Miss Debyle was my art teacher. She blew in her paint. We were stoners back then and tried everything in Art. I adore you Tammy and every other person out there that has that time and balls to teach through a camera and hope monetary we can add to the paycheck. Life is hard, but ART IS FUN!!! Xoxo. P.S.... I love the was you EXPLAIN everything when you teach.. no guessing or having to ask 5 thousand questions with you and I appreciate that!!!! And NO ONE is going to say hateful comments anymore because you shared this. If they do, then let them live with themselves. Have a great night!

Just an fyi to anyone who may have bad feelings towards Tammy about making this video; just know that I watched this and quite a few other's videos on this and yesterday I bought Shelee's full tutorial!! I learned a lot from these videos on KZfaq, but honestly it is 1,000,000% still worth it to buy the Shelee Art E-Course and get access to the private FB pages. Especially right now!!!!! There have been SO MANY who have tried and failed, and have worked out most issues it will be so much easier for new bloomers (yes I did just say that!! 🤣) to learn how to properly do a bloom!!!!! So, yet again, THANK YOU TAMMY for putting this video out which got me to obsess over the blooms and then pay for the full course!!!! And look at this! I'm still coming back to you for yet more advice!!! 😊😊😊♥️

I happen to come across this clip as this technique has just exploded & everyone seems to be doing it in one form of another. Think your spot on with all you said & good on you for saying your piece. I watch & learn from all sorts of artists then I put to practice what I learn & always put my own twist on things...it’s how we learn & develop as artists...Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with what you learnt..😊
