Welcome to Florida Roadside Attractions & Abandoned Places. Today, we depart Kissimmee on Highway 192 and head West to Tampa Bay. Along the way we visit several off the beaten path - old Florida roadside attractions, including Fantasy Of Flight, the Water Ski Museum, Orlampa Oil & Citrus Co., Polk Theatre, Dinosaur World, and the historic neighborhood of Tampa Heights. All before, I get home and take my little Beagle Bella for a walk along Tampa Bay. There is much ahead my friends.

About fantasy of flight the two hangers across the road from the airfield with those abandoned parts the three main objects there were originally parts of blimps that Kermit weeks bought but they all had the exact same missing part and also those hangers with those blimps store lots of wrecked aircraft that he's currently restoring and Kermit weeks has his own KZfaq channel that you can see what's going on in his airfield

I have a lot of fond memories of Shoney's, and I'm pretty sure that I ate at this very one. Holy Cow Rd? Now I've seen everything! Not really, but I was definitely missing out on having seen that.Those horses were laughing, but I don't know what they were laughing at. Oh, Bella! We all missed you! Welcome home, Jay!

The fantasy of Flight used to be called Weeks Air Museum and was located in South Miami, Florida before Hurricane Andrew blew most of it away and they moved upstate to its current location!

Love seeing Bella in your videos! We had a dog that was a Puggle, part pug part beagle! We had to put him to sleep last week, he was getting old and sick! every time I see Bella i get a happy feeling in my heart! Thank you for your roadside attraction videos I really enjoy them! U were around my stomping grounds I live very near Fantasy Of Flight. Also it was nice to see 192 I've worked at several places on that road as well as downtown Lakeland. Great video!

I used to have an annual pass to Fantasy of Flight many years ago. If it is still the same inside as it was then, you would really enjoy it. I see you were in Lakeland. There is a funky roadside attraction that may interest you down the street from the Polk Theater. It’s called the Dixieland Dragon. It is a huge sculpture of a dragon made out of scrap metal. It’s pretty cool and something that may interest ya. It’s on W. Park St. behind the Hungry Howie’s Pizza.

Thank you for off the beaten path views. i remember that boatish looking building, but not what it was for. There was a great restaurant nearby called the Branch Ranch dining room (they also their own strawberry jelly which was great!) i also remember on 192 there was a futuristic building called Xanadu which was torn down Oct 2005 and a Twisty Treat ice cream stand was around Xanadu. there is also a video or two of Xanadu on youtube.

Those things outside the fantasy of flight place look like the fighter simulators they used to had there when i went back in the day. They weren't super high tech. They had a section of some that moved and some that were stationary.

Those old vintage shells that are in front of those off site warehouses are the 3 only original, worlds largest, pressurized capsules, hot-air balloons. Kermit Weeks (who owns fantasy of flight) planned on having them restored. It never seemed like progress was ever made on anything though...

Those aircraft carcases at 6:40 look like old B-24 Liberator fuselages or possibly later Privateers that had the nose turret removed and replaced with a "greenhouse" nose. Too bad the tails are missing as that would identify them immediately.

Fantasy of flight is not old it's owned by Kermit Weeks and was a place to visit old aircraft and dine. They closed a few years after opening. Great place to visit the and it's said to be haunted by airmen who flew or were a part of the aircrafts or wars! Hope it will open up again!
