I have a question, from an autistic person to ADHD people, is masking really a thing? Because I was very surprised when Gabbie Hanna said in her video that she's always been "masking" and that's why her ADHD hasn't been as obvious.. to me she seemed to act just normal, as she always seems to, except just moving more. @@sophiaarias9341 she’s made it known that followers and views and likes and engagement are very important to her. the people that she’s come for recently aren’t nearly as large as the vlog squad - rachel oates, angelika oles, jessi smiles, various other tea channels, they all have a smaller support base than her. joey graceffa and daniel preda have been getting less views over time. i really do think she’s taken the vlog squad’s fan base size into account. not that that’s the right way to go about it, because (hopefully) she’s learned that even if you come after “the little guy”, if you’re objectively wrong, you’ll still get backlash. she lacks self-awareness, but not enough to bring an avalanche of inevitable backlash upon herself by calling out anyone with a platform the size of the vlog squad. if the risk of backlash wasn’t a deterrent to her, she wouldn’t be turning off the likes/dislikes

i think she might release an episode on Erin actually... i think in her most recent Jessi episode she has a file called "erin.mov" on her desktop... and Erin and Carly made a video in the past year or so where Erin shades Gabbie and said she would want to make an expose video on Gabbie but wouldn't actually ever go through with it... seems like Gabbie might go for a preemptive strike to twist the narrative as per usual lmao

That's just who she is. It's still okay to point out when others grow, maybe not for the sake of the individual (in this case Tana), but pointing out what is "good" or "better" behavior can set standards for others to meet. I honestly don't give a damn about either of these women, but they DO have influence on others. If there's proof of growth, it should be pointed out. Because when she fails to meet the new standards she's trying to set here, her audience will still hold her accountable.

Ngl I think a lot of Tana’s scandals (although obviously not all) were her being a traumatized teenager who was totally out of her depth in an industry that’s way larger than life. Seems like she was managed by a predatory guy who encouraged erratic behavior so he could take financial advantage of her and be the one to comfort her. She’s older now, she’s under new management, and she’s not doing as much self-destructive/harmful stuff as she used to because she’s doing better emotionally. However, I can guarantee there’s going to be a relapse at some point, no matter how large or small, that will make people think none of this change is genuine. I can’t say what it’ll be, but I do think she’s genuinely maturing and doing better, even though she’ll inevitably slip up and do something shitty in the future. It’s the exact same as with Trisha.
