No Name what you are saying here is very true. Sadly Lyon couldn't compete with the biggest european clubs economically. But the future looks super bright: they own a stadium for which they almost paid all the debts (should be done next year), and the mercato of this summer has by far the biggest expenses (near 70 M€). Their finances are rising progressively. Lyon president wants Lyon to come back in the european top 15 or top 10, very soon it will be possible at least economically. That's why I strongly believe that in a few years they will keep more easily that kind of players and potentially win the CL

@@axisv99 I never said they're the same player. I said he's the *modern* version of Yaya. Tanguy is only 22, and his attacking and overall statistics will undoubtedly increase as he will be playing with better players (no offence to Lyon). Tanguy has the potential to reach Yaya's level, or more but we shall see when he hit his prime in several years.

His playmaking and passing are also one of his strongest asset. He can also dictate the game from deep. He's also press resistant. As you can see in the video, he always delivers keys pass. That's why he has 7 assists this season. People often forget to mention he's a creator.

I know it's easy to make players look good with selected clips but this kid is as good as he looks!! We've had a Dembele sized hole in the middle of the pitch and our form showed it massively. We've filled that hole with a younger version of him...talk about ready made replacement. After waiting so long for a transfer it's great that we didn't balls up the first one. Can't wait to see him, Winks and Sissoko boss the middle of the pitch.

If he gets confident he will rule the PL. fantastic signing for the spurs. Modern, VERY strong, hard to tackle as he keeps bouncing and recovering, not bothered by pressing he turns it into offense instead which is very rare and completely redesigns a team s ability to transform défense into attack, can beat multiple players in one go, great passing from both feet, understands spacing and rhythm very well, unique tecnic ... sometimes needs to take the ball and create more, can be a little out of touch if he s feeling lazy. his shot is very strong too, you ll see 😎 another French gem 🤩

I hope he doesn't invite injuries the way he plays. In Epl he will get more physical and tough tackling. He has a habit of dwelling with the ball too much instead of keeping it simple one touch. There is a huge chance he will get tackled alot.
