A broke vet at the end of his rope looking for a way out and getting the police assisted suicide he was looking for. I hope mental health care for active service men and vets have gotten better since the 90's. RIP

That's crazy! I thought *everyone* knew about this one. I just never heard of the Colorado armoured bulldozer rampage. Does anyone know what happened to the tank after the chase? What is preserved in a museum, put back into service, or scrapped?

It was last in either Fort Irwin or Camp Roberts, all tanks in museums now have their batteries removed so they can't be operated anymore. Sorry this is so late.

I use to live and work there. Convoy St is north of San Diego near Miramar MCAS (Top Gun) then a Navy base. There's a row of restaurants and strip malls there. It connects to Balboa Ave. Lots of desert areas there... Clairmont Mesa Blvd is about a half mile down the road and the tank didn't go that way. And the old bollweeville before the guy turned on Balboa where the Jack in the box is in the video. The Jack in the box is gone now. He must have taken balboa onto the 163. Crazy. I think it was just strange coincidence. The movie was in filming process already when the rampage happened in May. And it was St. Petersburg, not Moscow.

I know the guy at the 124 mark of the video, Joe Br***er AKA The Mayor. Had a friend talking on the phone with a friend when the tank was driving down the street and mashed the one guys car along with a bunch of others. Driven on all these streets many a time.

What Is the National Guard doing With a Tank ? ! / The Military is for foreign activity / The National Guard is for domestic Activity !

They can be activated or as we say Federalized to deploy when manpower is short. That includes the Coast Guard on Navy ships. During Desert Shield/Storm and number of National Guard and Air Guard Units went to Iraq.

It's an old thing where an average joe goes to a military base and takes weapons, tanks, etc. In the Alamo, the Mexicans grabbed weapons when the Americans weren't looking, and a good number of American heroes were killed by their own weapons.
