I wish they kept that version of overdrive, it was way more balanced in my opinion, but i think it's too late to bring it back now. Maybe they could do that for special gamemode

Driver drone was trash compared to this for a few reasons. It only gave a few second overdrive charge per kill. It's difficult to compare this to the augment, because drone gave a set number of seconds, while augment multiplies your charging. There was a 15 second cooldown on the drone until you could get the drone's overdrive boost again. It gave the charge only on a kill, the augment does it with any score gain (capturing points, flags...) and also increases passive charging. And, probably the main one, you couldn't use another drone. Drones are too powerful and really define how you play. Hull augments not really, they just serve as protection from the most common status effect. A good drone gave you a lot more score, which also indirectly boosted your overdrive charge, maybe often more than what driver drone could do. Comparing the driver drone and augment is like comparing basic epic rarity augment and the OP upgraded exotic version of the same augment.
