Some FAQs from this vlog: Q: "Why does Nico use over the ear headphones?" A: A couple years back, he had a severe ear infection that led to some permanent complications, and was advised not to use in-ear monitors. Q: "Why at 27:01 does Nico say the show was so stressful?" A: He wasn't talking about the show. He was talking about THAT specific quick change moment. After "Hypa Hypa", both he and Kevin have about 12-15 seconds to change out of their outfits and be back on stage for the start of the next song. It has to be quick, and perfect, and sometimes that moment can be stressful having to run off stage and do that as quick as possible.

Thanks for the info about the Nico's headphones. Definitely was wondering, as I felt there was a couple possibilities that were likley; that was one of the things I thought it may be related to, i.e. something preventing him from using the in-ears. Also, I wanted to check these out to see what some of the behind the scenes work is, when doing a substantial tour like this; while I am enjoying that perspective, I think I am more enjoying seeing how much you all enjoy doing this together. It's cool to see.

In you next video, can you put arrows with labels at the guys on either side of the stage of what their jobs are? Like, I'm guessing the guy on stage right with the orange box in front of him is some sort of lighting/pyro tech? But not sure...same with the guy with the sound board on the other side. I'm just super fascinated to understand the exact functions these guys are doing live and how it keeps the show running smoothly sidenote: I'm also curious how often those stage outfits get washed/cleaned? xD

I feel for Nico. I have the same problem. I had a brutal ear infection as a kid that opened a hole in my ear drum. I can’t wear earbuds for more than a few minutes before my ear gets super irritated. Like having a pinecone shoved in it. I did get extremely lucky and didn’t suffer hearing damage, just vertigo sometimes. Over the ear headphones club 🥹.

These raw Vlogs are what youtube used to be. Nowadays everything is "overproduced" to compete with everyone else. Gives me nostalgia (I know this was probably still a lot of work cutting and editing!) Thanks Tank!

@@TankTheTech What do you do to add the subtitles? If you want to automate subtitling you could use SubtitleEdits AudioToText feature (whisper). It automatically generates all your subtitles (and could even translate them to English). You only need to watch through them and edit the stuff the AI messed up at. I don't know how well the audio detection is with the German accents but it works reasonably well with English in general. If you are doing everything by hand right now it could be worth a try.

@@TankTheTechthat’s what makes your videos amazing though. I love just seeing everything happening as raw as possible. Which is what you are capturing. It’s super super interesting from a tech stand point. Makes me want to get into sound engineering and stuff as a hobbie. Would you at some point be able to explain which each performer is hearing in their own in ear monitors? Like are they all different, or all hearing the same thing etc. I get a lot of it is for helping with timing and stuff from what I understand.

Two things: First, thank you for the behind the scenes look at all the logistics and work that goes into a show. Second, thank you for unabashedly showing that it's OK for men to show love to other men. None of that toxic masculinity bullshit. Just men showing respect and love for each other. We need more of that.

To me this is how most bands I've been in and been around have been with each other. A good band is a family, yes you bicker, and know how to get under each other's skin bur it's all in good fun and love in the end.

I ❤ how family like the climate is between all of the crew and band- it’s really cool to see between the sitcom vlogs from Christien and the raw personal vlog style from tanky 😂(that gets me every time) I am wondering if it’s a cultural thing we have lost a lot of in most of America. I know living I. Germany as a younger child and going back as an adult - there were men in the town that greeted that way and always threw their arms around each other when hanging out, Italy was the same as a teen when I went. Been living in Hawaii for 25 years now - and we give hugs hello and good bye - and even meeting new people at gatherings is usually hi nice to meet you quick hug. Everyone is uncle and auntie by the second time you are around their kids at bbqs or event- which happens a lot- and everyone is family, no matter the race- once you are an dubbed and auntie- you are an auntie to ALL the kids at future gatherings, and man does Hawaii love their music, beer and lots of laughing and food. Loud fun times. When I go to the mainland USA- it’s different and people are more reserved for a much longer time with new people at gatherings. And in Hawaii - the first visit- the older aunties and grandma’s get upset if you don’t get up when the food is put out, or you don’t load the plate or go back up- and always check on everyone to make sure they have enough to eat and drink- like 7 times It’s how I wish most places were- I personally tell my students to just smile at people the walk by - something small like a smile and slight nod by you, could change a person’s day- just knowing someone saw them as a human and smiled at them, babies and kids love it when you smile at them and do the cute wave- most adults inside get a little sunshine inside when a strangers smiles at them, 😊❤😊 smiles respect and gratitudes daily will make small gains in being a overall happier person, And this band showcases how it can be done

Hey Tank this comment is probably get lost somewhere but I just wanted to say thank you for everything. This was my first metal/tekkno show ever. I’ve been a metal fan for a while now, but unfortunately metal bands (or rock bands in general) don’t go to my country. It was until I moved to Austria to study (last year in September) that I saw Electric Callboy was going to be in Innsbruck. I live in a city 6 hours away from Innsbruck and I had absolutely no idea how I was going to get there or how I was going to afford the entire trip. I didn’t care and still managed to purchase the ticket because Electric Callboy is my top 1 favorite band of all time. Fast forward to the show, it was amazing. I went into my first pits, the sound, the set up, the screens, the pyro cues… everything out of this world, god I was so excited and having the time of my life. I started to follow you because I saw a video on KZfaq and saw you had the TEKKNO album on your wall and then figuring out you are the tour manager of my favorite was quite a surprise. But seeing now how much time, effort and care you put into everything you do is something worthy of admiration 🙌🏻 Huge thanks for doing these vlogs (this one especially) because it is like this immortal reminder of an awesome experience and it delivers us with more content from the band we love. I’m really happy they asked you to be on this tour too, I mean working with such great crew must be really nice. I really wish you the best in the upcoming shows and please keep up the good work these days is really hard to find quality content like yours and hope you keep improving your German (and not that I am the best at speaking German) but it already sounds amazing. Anyway this is my first time commenting in KZfaq I don’t usually do it but I felt the need to congratulate you for such outstanding job and let you know how much (we fans) appreciate your work. I know it’s long but hopefully you get to read it someday.

Tank, these blogs are the best advertisement for the work you do - and maybe it’ll encourage others to want to go into this profession. I realize that’s not your intention, but it shows how organized you are, that you’re willing and able to go the extra mile, and that you really have the band, crew, crowd, and everyone else’s back at the end of the day. I won’t be shocked to hear that every band on the planet will be lining up to get you on their team after this tour is done. I have no doubt EC will always get the first priority for your time. I really enjoy seeing what goes into producing a show, as well as taking care of everyone on tour. This job isn’t for everyone, but you’re clearly in your element. I’m so glad you’re doing this and letting us understand the music industry better. When you come back home, I’d love to hear if there are issues at EU venues with ticket price gouging, merch wars, and all the other probs we have in the music industry in the US. Would be cool to do a comparison. Thanks, Tank!

It so nice to see the work of the people behind the stage ! Thanks a lot for that. @TankTheTech Would it be possible to do a deep dive into the pyro EC is using as ? The structure, safety aspects, the people who take care of it (if the want!) etc?

It is so much fun watching these vlogs! I know that they add to your task list so I thank you for taking the time to do this for us. I really enjoy seeing how things work back stage. This is a huggy group of guys! Is that a German thing? European thing? It's very unusual for someone watching from the US, but I really enjoy it. You take great care of these guys and they love you for it. I love the playful, happy, and family-like atmosphere. Please keep this up if you can! Thank you for letting us see what goes on "behind the curtain!" Take care of yourself!

Dude this brought me so much nostalgia and joy immediately. Helping bands load in when I was young and seeing videos of a7x backstage goofing when I was going into high school. This is raw, real KZfaq and I love it.

Yeah the refusal to use air condition - even when it's available - really drives me nuts as well, especially at night. I like it cool. Love your vlog. I'll be seeing EC (and by extension probably you as well) at the show in Dresden in a couple of weeks. Take care.

Loving these vlogs and the German getting better Tank. Ever since the first vlog i was hoping they would be alot more. Keep it up and the Tour looks good so far. Hopefully Nico was right and they come back to Glasgow later this year as Oct 2023 now for me is the best gig i have ever been too.

Nice to see the reality of the road for a mid size touring band. While I don't care for their music I can tell they are good at what they do as a musician. Thanks for these.

It's not only awesome to watch your vlog, but it's also awesome to watch how EC works behind the screen. So many people working like a clockwork anyone is so dedicated i love how you are now a part of the EC family and i hope this will continue on. Plus your german prononciation is pretty good, escpecially with the most difficult parts of äüö ;).

So great…I used to be on stage a lot though much smaller venues than this, but you manage to capture the feeling backstage perfectly! I feel the adrenaline rush and the flow of the show, it makes me feel nostalgic! Thank you for this ❤

Thanks Tank for taking time to do those Vlog (and Electric Callboy to let you doing them), they are for sure entertaining but the part of them i truly enjoy is seeing all the work it takes to pull off an arena size production.

13:43 am i hearing right, Kevin doing some random pig sqeals in the background? goddamn he is just so good. Also really funny seeing the crew still getting hype for zB Castrop x Spandau backstage fistpumping. Everyone just really loves what they do and it shows! Great vlog, thank you as always for taking us along ❤

Thank you so so so so much Tank für all the amazing VLOGs 😎🤘 I´m usually more like the silent type of viewer but your content is always awesome and these VLOGs are not only fun to watch but also really interesting. It´s truly great to see that you´re now a huge and important part of the EC familiy 😊🎉 Also ... your German skills improved a lot. It´s definitely very impressive to me, how fast you learn our ... let´s say ... not so easy language. For a lack of a better term 😅 Thank you for all your work! Stay yourself and greetings from Germany 😊
