In today's video I make my first ever laps in a dirt midget for Chad Boat and CB Industries during our test session at the Millbridge Speedway in Salisbury, North Carolina! All of this is preparation for Tanner Holmes Racing first attempt at the Chili Bowl!

Growing up in a sprint car family I always loved the midgets. Those motors sound so good! Glad you got the opportunity to drive one! Thank you CB racing for giving Tanner this awesome chance so we can all ride along with him.

You looked like you were turning some pretty good laps but it is hard to say without knowing what a fast lap looks like. I'm sure you will be fine at the Chili Bowl!!!!!! Looking forward to seeing you race!!!!!!

That last run definitely looked your best, sounded like you were on the gas more which is what the midgets like. That in car camera angle for session #4 was no bueno, made me feel woozy. Good luck at CB in a CB car, Chad would be smart to make a 4 car USAC national run next year and put you in a full season of USAC national midgets.

Really hope you get an opportunity like Larson, Seavey and Kofoid if you want to take that route. Coming and running with us Hoosiers in usac sprints and midgets can do wonders for you as a driver as they've proved.

Tanner, remember what I stated back in the summer that car owners were taking notice. Many successful dirt track drivers have gotten their start in the chilli bowl. Stay humble and don't forget what got you to this point. The chilli bowl can make or break careers.

That looked pretty good to me beings that this was the first time in a midget for you Tanner. I guess having your brake pedal come loose in your QRC cart and having to adjust in the moment to controlling it with the gas pedal in that last cart race was a good little orientation to get you into thinking about how to drive a car more so with just the gas pedal. It is going to be interesting to see how do in Tulsa and your thoughts on how that track and Milbridge compares to each other. Thank you for sharing this video with us. May y'all have a good one. I've never seen midgets race in person until this past summer at Lincoln Speedway for the Sam Smith Memorial, and honestly, there pretty cool to watch a race in person run around a 3/8 dirt track. I try to watch the chilie bowl every year, now I gotta watch it because you're in it, and I wanna see how well you do with all your experience in an outlaw cart.

You looked good in the car and seemed to get more comfortable with each session you ran out there. Good that you got some practice laps in before just jumping into the midget for the first time at the Expo Center. What an opportunity you asked? Well Tanner I'd send right back, what a WELL EARNED OPPORTUNITY! I'd say as we who have been watching your progression already know. If Chad didn't see something in you this would never have materialized. You are not just some hack rich kid , far from it. You're grounded , respectful ,humble , and above all a talented racecar driver. You belong here. You set your mind to achieve this goal and the opportunities are coming your way. Be serious about this , but also have fun. It has to be fun. Otherwise it's just a job. Obviously this is YOUR passion and it shows. I see it as well as others. The guys with the rides see it too. Between 3 and 4 you looked really really good. It seemed you swooped out towards the wall between 1 and 2 which obviously takes longer. Best of luck to you itd be nice to see you surprise the boys and take the shootout.

That was a killer 4th session u put on camera. You were ripping the lip. And killing it on the bottom. Was worth the trip. When you run into Tmez, the 2 of you need to compare notes. You can give him some pointers on his process with utube. And get some of his viewers and vice versa.
