Thank you😊 I do not put a thin pad between the two pieces of fabric. I fold the cut fabric as is and iron on the petals.

@@nomaruworld5907 Actually I didn't mean to suggest you quilt it, I meant after all your appliqué was done. It's only my two cents, but I think it would give it a more sort of luxurious feel, but more importantly I think it would help protect your work. Thanks for sharing, I really like it!
