There’s no train in Rwanda and Burundi, They are about to start rail construction soon. There’s diesel trains in all East Africa 🚂. There’s no Electric Trains in other East African Countries except for Tanzania Alone. There’s Most Beautiful Modern Electric Trains in Tanzania 🛤🚊🚉🚝🛣🏔⛰🌳🌴🏝🏖🇹🇿

⁠Tanzania has both electric and diesel powered engines on their new SGR track / trains! In case of an emergency of power cut, the newly Diesel engines comes in to connect, drag and continue with the journey at same speed of 160 km/hour. Also electric engines have power bank, so, even if power cuts off, it will still be able to travel with lights on in all carriages without passengers to notice if there’s power cut! Meanwhile the diesel engine will only be needed if the electric engine is broken and cannot operate.

Absolutely not true. Tanzania SGR is entirely electric. Not diesel. Which explains why it was built cheaper

many countries in East Afrca(Kenya,Uganda,Rwanda and Burundi) do have trains but this is electric one that's why Tanzania says are the first country in the region to start using..!

Ya Kenya inabebaga mabehewa about 80-120, and if need be, inaeza beba mbili mbili, That is about 200 containers. Hii ya TZ ata container 30 it will struggle. Na uliskia waziri wao akisema it will not be doing beyond 60kph juu hawana hio stima na ikikimbia, italeta blackouts TZ mzima...

Our SGR has a carrying capacity and of over 80 containers single, and they may be piled on ibebe 160 plus. It may also carry 200 containers with two engines. Ya Tanzania can only drag about 30-50 containers. It uses too much electricity to make any economic sence... One Kenyan train can carry about four times the carrying capacity of the Tanzanian train Besides that, our SGR already has allowance Ya kutumia umeme. Yao ya Tanzania haina uwezo wa kuchukua diesel trains Unless ikue upgraded.

@@josephmungai1799Tanzania also has diesel train..their old railway is diesel engine..so they have both diesel and Electrified railway..don't forget they also have Hydroelectric dam which can generate 2115 MW and now the project is almost finish, (85%) and CEO of Tanzania railway company said their Electrified railway needs 200MW only and they have special transmission line for SGR from national main grid (National Electrcity sources)..so all I can say just stop jealous because Tanzania planned and prepared before started the project!! for these criteria they deserve congratulations!! Kenyans have to be humble (don't panic)

Pole boss. Reli ya Kenya yaweza pia kuchukua treni za umeme ikiwekwa na miundombinu. Lakini Kenya hakuna stima ya kufanyia kazi kama hii kwa sababu Kenya wananchi, na viwanda na biashara ndio hutumia umeme kwa uzalishaji. Hii SGR ya Tanganyika haiwezi kuchukua treni za diesel, itahitaji tena kukarabatiwa ndio iweze kubeba treni za diesel. Lakini ya Kenya yaweza beba treni za umeme na ndio ukiangalia hio reli ya Kenya imeshawekwa umeme tayari La pili, treni za diesel huweza kubeba mizigo mingi kuliko za umeme. Kwa mfano treni moja ya Kenya yaweza kuchukua container 240 pamoja kwa maana inabeba zikiwa zimewekwa moja juu ya ingine. Treni ya diesel pia is more reliable kuliko ya stima.

1st of all they only used 2hrs during this trials/test. 2nd Dsm to Morogoro the distance is 300km, To completion the train will only travel for 90' to destination, so, Acha wivu itakuua...
