I don’t normally comment online but I wanted to promote a resource I have found useful in my journey (no affiliation). Around 18:40 or so, Adam mentions someone’s work discussing about how trauma is stored in the body. A good resource on this concept is the book “built for freedom” by Bob Gardner. Again, no affiliation, I just found the book to be useful for me.

That's exactly how we did scanning in Vipassana but we'd do outer body scanning for a few days before going inward. Good stuff Adam.

I had a poor yi chaun teacher and landed up with bad tinnitus while doing standing wrong. I worked it out in the end. I was set the goal of doing 1hour standing for 100 days. I did because that is my nature and that is the reason I damaged myself. .

Hi guys, just a silly finding, at 1:35 Adam quotes the baat diun gam, i have that name in my phone notes for 6 years, i searched for it trying every possible spelling and found nothing after what a sifu showed me at a seminar. Long story short, seeing the baduanjin in the comment that was quoted, and knowing baat and ba both means 8, today i found out they are the same form in cantonese and mandarin. Sad ending because the form i saw years ago was different than the shaolin version that can be seen online.

glad you touched on the subject of trauma and health problems in general as it never really gets explained properly it normally just gets taught on the surface like chi and that but I’ll admit my post training has slacked no excuses so will pick it up again and hopefully take it further who knows It might even heal me and others around me if people are willing to try new things that is thanks man

I believe that to actually learn something like a martial art you need to do that whole empty the cup and most people think that is about what you learned I agree, but also I believe it is also letting go of everything and knowing who you truly are and living it not ego or things like that, it took me decades to realize this and feeling what some people call weakness or at least I thought that people would see it as weakness , spending a lot of time lack of better terminology being my truthful living my truth I learned so much noticed so much and even now learning so much at my age , and also recognizing it in others even . Back on topic trauma and Chi Gong healing it, I believe yes it can, but you have to be open and true to yourself and not afraid any what you feel as weakness can be worked on which is always hard possibly the hardest thing the person will ever do, if a person just works on there best parts, there strong parts, they will become unbalanced may be that bully. To me Chi Gong has much to do with the internal balance of the self which can't be done if you are not true to yourself, my version of the empty your cup once you empty your cup you will be naked and see who you truly are inside and out. the mention when breathing and directing coming to that spot where poor words here is blocked happened to me when I was learning Tai Chi doing the breathing out of know where I become emotional and felt that I had to stop tears flowing which being a man and a man never cries lol , but at home I kept practice every day several times a day and eventually it stopped happening but It happened again about 4 years ago meditating, when I was meditating i do the proper breathing and guiding at least what Iwas taught but one thing I do before I mediate it seems to help me allot for meditation is I wear a blind fold so that I can keep my eyes open while meditation because if they are closed i dont seem to be able to actually meditate I am just sitting there breathing . I am assuming things here ; I would like to say something about basic and advanced it doesn't mean better than worse than as a human it mostly means you understand it so you can do it but also practice it on a daily basis or you don't understand it and cant do it its not about ego type things the basic thing when training can be life changing for the better but like most training it should be practised as much as possible probably at least once a day. Myself I have time between jobs right now so I will do my best to do what it takes Kind of sort of question Anyway I never realized about the distance thing 3 inches and such I have heard and read about the 3 feet which I just assumed it had to do with the human aura but not that I heard what you said if you are releasing pushing out that trauma if it can get past that three feet or human aura it makes even more sense or am I not understanding what was said, or I misheard it ?
Now THIS is entertainment! 🤣
