Hey everyone! In today's video I tell you all about my experience with tape in hair extensions! I show you guys the application of tape in extensions, the removal of tape in hair extensions and my whole experience with them so far! I hope this helps some of you out who are thinking about getting tape in extensions!
My Extensions - 1 set of 40 pieces, 100 grams, 16"
The amount of hair you will need will depend on your length and thickness of hair or the look that you're going for!

One thing that I would like to add is that the struggle is real when it comes to blow drying them. I would be going to my hair dresser once a week for a blow out because it was just so much hair. They are amazing but when thinking about them I would keep in mind the maintenance and upkeep that goes into them.

Definitely takes longer to dry but I still do it myself every time and only takes about 15 minutes.

Was hoping your video we speak more to what to expect after getting tape in's. Such as, how tight the wefts are at first. How you can't do alot of styling the first week...the frustration in the beginning. This is where I am right now, day 2.

Oh my gosh, I got my extensions yesterday and tremendously enjoyed them, but washing all that hair woooow. I’m going to remove them, it’s just too much work for me LOL!!

They look so good! I normally don't style my hair and just let it get wavy in a braid do you think the extensions will become wavy too and blend well or do you find yourself having to style your hair to match them?

Who goes swimming with theirs in? I’ve been told very much a mix but apparently you can go in the pool or sea just not for a very long time and make sure to do the proper after care once getting out

Honestly, depending on how long you have them in they will thin out your hair. I had mine in for 10 months and my hair became way more thin than it was before I got the extensions. My sister in laws hair also became way more thin than it was when she took hers out too and we don't have the same hair stylist. So it doesn't really depend on your stylist.. So just putting that out there for those who want them to make your thin hair thicker.

That's not true. I haven't lost any more hair than I normally would without the extensions. The hairstylist will need to actually thin out your hair in order to blend it with the extensions. It doesn't mean the tape in's are causing hair to fall out. I stick have thick hair and thick roots. If hair is falling out because of the extensions, it's because the stylist probably isn't applying them properly.

Bre E well I’m late but your hair naturally sheds so when you add the extension your hair is still shedding but the actual tape is what prevents the hair from coming out until you get them removed and notice that more than usual hair is coming out it’s just the natural shedding of the hair that’s all lol but I don’t recommend having them in for ten months which is impossible because it is recommended to get them done every 6-8 weeks lol so I’m calling your bluff on that lol 😂🙂

Ive thought about dying my hair lately, but ive never done so, and i think maybe extensions would be better because im not necessarily dying my hair im just adding in, and they could be darker or whatever, just think that would better! Thanks for the video!

how do you sleep with these...i have tape ins right now..and my hair person said to put it in a pony tail at the base of my head..but i have noticed it gets matted when i sleep..any tips?

Sounded good until the part about no oils or anything. I have really fine hair thats super frizzy so im always having to use some sort of keratin or Moroccan oil in my hair and sometimes even that doesnt work.

Me again You can use oils as long as they don't touch near wear the tapes are placed because it would loosen the glue. So if you need to put oils or serums on the ends towards the end, it is totally fine!

Me again I still use oil in my every single time after I wash it. You just need to make sure not to get in on the tape

I haven't really heard about shampoo with oil in it but if it has a very oily texture then I would suggest not using it.

Nope. I use them until they're unusable basically. If they're in good condition, you can keep using them or just give them trims every time!
