I'm glad to know that buying the wrong bass strings is a common issue for "all guitarists out there" and it happens “multiple times”. Last summer I bought a bass and had a similar problem! 😅Beautiful tones, cheers Budda!

Haha! I also put “Beatle Bass” strings on my bass, the tape wound strings are much easier for a guitarist who rarely plays bass - fortunately my bass is a Squier Jaguar, scale is two inches shorter than a P-bass so the Beatle strings are *just* long enough …

Budda - do me a favor and please tell me if you can hear a click (on the edge of distortion) with every attack of the strings while you are playing. Is it my sound system or just the output on YT? I'm troubleshooting on my side - thanks. I don't normally watch videos about bass but in your case I'll watch anything. Great thoughts on the bass strings, I liked the tone of all three examples - much appreciated.

It’s the amp and speaker I’m using. I always go for that sound on the edge of breakup

@@BuddaGuedes thanks, that's a relief, I thought my speakers were on the edge of breakup. How' pops doing with his musical come back? I'm 72 and thinking about picking up my precision bass again as well. :)

100/50 ? Are these the Beatle strings ...shortscale ? On a P bass ? Could not find another 100/50 La bella Black Nylons...Just 105/50

Those are the beatle bass and I had to buy another set of D’Addario long scale
