People have eyelids for a reason, they can use them. It would be the America white women that don't want to know where their food comes from. I am one of those white middle age females, only mom married an ex-mormon-utah pig/cattle farmer for my stepfather. Carefree AZ Jewelry store half the year and Montana cattle ranch half the year. Show the good and bad when it comes to raising sheep. Dont need anymore delusional hobby farmers only seeing the pretty side of raising food. If these folks knew the smell they wouldnt like the animals as much. For me....As long as smell o vlog doesn't come into reality I'm good. That smell of spoiled milk farts and pee makes my lips pucker.

@@TaraFarms if it is 20 mins of nothing happening, that is a bit much. But some of it is definitely interesting and gives us a realistic peep into the window of your life on a farm. As an American, It is so odd to watch you all cold and shivery, whilst the Americans are facing over 100° F. Best of luck for the rest, and I am praying for rain.

@@snegglederlickton1637first, by saying everyone knows you are automatically guaranteed to be wrong; even if .01% of the U.S. population didn’t know that that is still 350k people round about. That’s more than the population of my city. So, the OP comment isn’t off my dude. Second, I think you greatly overestimate the level of general knowledge in the U.S. population. Sadly we have a lot of kids more worried about where their next meal is going to come from than learning about how the tilt of the Earth’s axis affects the seasons in the south hemisphere. So chill out.

As a kid, many years ago, I used to hang out at the local Sales Yards, helping the truckies load the sheeps. More than once I ended up taking an orphan lamb home. Raised in the backyard for awhile and then off to a local farmer. He always gave me some cash or a half a dressed lamb back …😂 Great days.

I DO NOT, envy you that frost, my poor little raised garden would be dead. Also, super glad you FINALLY have some green even if it is small. Heres to it all growing! And more rain! I ALWAYS cringe when i see ewes lambing, so darn painful looking! Glad you managed to save that first sheep and lamb. Poor second bugger, but glad she got pain relief too! The little pep talk you gave the 3rd lambing ewe, was kind of funny😅. Can't imagine dealing with that on such a HUGE farm with so many sheep! Must be so exhausting. As for the lambs been too big due to them gorging on the grain, ya just cant win.. >.< Also, fck the ignorant clowns btching and throwing shade about you SAVING lambs, they don't have a clue. such ignorance doesnt need a response, they just need something to make themselves feel important over. They just look dumb. Also, dont blame you for not wanting another pet lamb! Or bottle babies! Goss, you had SO many last week! Looked like a nightmare! Also having to check on them all ect, while it is dark so early! You should so do a slug winter nap intermission! She looks so darn cute sleeping! Poor sweet girl feels like i do in winter😂. Also, dont cut anything, it is all fine as it is, even if it looks awful for the poor sheep, its reality. Lots of nekey lambs near the end there!😂 Keep been you lovely!❤ ❤ Thanks for another great video! Seeing it all, has given me a new appreciation for farmers and all they do! Not a job for the sensitive or soft thats for sure!

Love your videos! Just found them recently. Growing up, we took two lambs to help a lady whose sheep had all triplets, a brown male and white female. I used to get up early before school to bottle feed them, and they were the best pets ever! They were attacked by some dogs left out ferrel by some neighbors, twice. The first time the male was mained, but survived, and a year or so later after he got the female pregnant, he was attacked again and killed. We had to get rid of the female and babies when we moved, but I'll always have the memories.

Its definitely noticeable for us when the heat hits the high thirties and it's super humid. I've got soft I reckon😅 I spoke to a lovely Canadian once and she was out wiring up meterboxes ext in minus 20. I admired her bravery and tenacity under the conditions. The coldest I've ever been was sleeping on a river in a tent on a sheep and cattle property out west . It hit minus 10 and there was ice on my windshield. That night the dog was in the tent cuddling up against me . 😂 Mind you I'd been out on the same property in summer helping my friends with a leaky roof and it hit 45 degrees Celsius. I hope summer is treating you to some nice days at present. Warmest greetings from Queensland Australia 😊

Dunno if this is useful or not but when I've had a breach foal (backward, upside down, one hind leg out, the other tucked up around the front leg/over umbilical cord sort of) and the mare was down and ropes weren't enough to get out by myself I sat sort of braced my legs against mum's pelvis/bum and pulled toward me to keep the traction firm and steady to go with mum's pushing. Might be useful when you're on your own. The foal itself was born dead by the time we got her unstuck (zero pulse, no reflexes found by me or vet) having drowned in utero and took a good 10 minutes to get a thready pulse and breath on but is after a fair bit of ICU a healthy rising 4 yo. I'd tried to pull and rope the normal way but it didn't work as well for me. Thankfully the mare was patient and happy for help.

You are perfect, the absolute GOAT of sheep! Sorry, I thought that was funny. Really though, you have the exact right amount of realism, compassion, love, and humor; it's a delight to see. Your birthing assistance illustrations are EVERYTHING and I do need more of them 😂😂😂 specifically if you could show me how to help my meat rabbits... I'm not sure things will really translate size-wise 🙃

Watching this cold morning, I'm so jealous. Sitting here in California, USA with the 10th consecutive day of temps 100°F here (38°C), waiting as long as possible to turn the expensive AC on. Also, getting wildfire notifications literally daily, hoping not to evacuate. 🥵

You in an Australian summer? We do the don’t open the curtains, block all sunlight trick seems to help a bit, if that may help you.

You can also spray the outside of the house if no water restrictions. The evaporation can cool the house by quite a few degrees.

Definitely prefer the cold to the heat. I just got back from a camping trip… the last night was minus 9’C (near Perisher for those of you playing along at home- lol) It Was awesome!!! Love the frosts. Good luck for rain. Hope it’s soon :(

PLEASE PLEASE do NOT cut videos like this, I am a farmer as well but not on your scale and i TRULY believe that ppl need to see the good, bad, happy and sad sides of farming. To many do NOT understand where their food comes from, how it gets to the store or what you and I go through on a day to day basis. The pain and stress we feel or the love and jubilation we feel on a good day. So please Tara never cut you can just add a disclimer or a blip to skip to this time if they want to not see i think would be best.

Tara you definitely need some rain over there. It looks dry as dust. I've been watching another channel called "urbex indigo". He films abandoned houses and farm houses around Adelaide and I've been noticing that the fields look dry like summer and then find out he only filmed it a few weeks ago. We've been having plenty of rain over here. Pity I can't send you some. I would if i could. You look after those sheep of yours well.

The drone pictures are awesome 👍. You are a Farm Scientist Tara. I love your uploads. I used to live in the Western district of Victoria. Also hunted foxes on a lot of different sheep farms. This all reminds me of those days. 👍☮️🇦🇺🙏
