I think the new set up looks great! 😍 The resolution is so sharp and clear. The lighting isn't as warm as it was before but I actually like it better because it's easier to see detail when you're applying makeup. The sound is perfect! ☺️

Great to have you back! Miss your impeccable, detailed comparison videos. No one else comes close to you in that arena. I own a lot of LM and BB sticks and must say I prefer BB as I feel they r creamier and therefore easier to blend. I like the new setup, particularly the sound as it was always a bit too loud for me even when I adjusted the sound on my laptop.

I find I tend to ignore sticks no matter even if they're creamy because on my mature lid I just find it so much harder to make them work and I'm not there for that. Great video as usual Tara 👍

The lighting looks great! It seems less warm - in a good way. Thank you as always for being so honest Tara. Since I have almost every BB and LM stick, the last thing I need is an addiction to another brand lol. They are so good for mature eyes but the darker mattes tend to be harder to blend, in general. What a shame the HG have such a wonky shape and crumbly texture, for that price?? The gold packaging probably would have sucked me in so thank you for saving me money❣🙏💋 I am getting that lavender VB though 😻💜

I bought one LM eyeshadow stick last year and didn’t like the application until I began to use a small flat brush which gave me better control and placement. Then I loved them so much that I purchased 4 more and use them constantly- sometime on their own but mostly in conjunction with powder shadows. They are pigmented enough for me and can be removed with regular non-oily eye makeup remover. ( I use Almay, have for decades because of wearing contacts for many years.) I won’t use anything that causes me to pull or tug on my eyelids. I had heard that the VB ones were beautiful but difficult to remove. I’ll stick with my LM. Great review as usual. Setup, camera and lights look great.

Love your new set up! Love the background, love the lighting, and image is super clear 👌🏼 Soumd is quite good, only thing I noticed is sometimes when you raised your voice there was a slight buzz or hum sound (I’m wearing earbuds to listen/watch). But it’s so subtle and only happened a couple times, really not a big deal - just sharing cuz you asked :) overall I think it’s great! And thanks for your review and comparisons,…super helpful!

Thanks for the comparison with LM. I just recently discovered those (I’m way behind, I know!) and LOVE them. I got a shimmer and a couple of mattes from VBB and tbh I like the LM better, too. I am curious about the LM mattes. Have you tried them?

I think my biggest request will be for your videos to reflect natural colors as much as possible. I think trying to match the image to the real in person colors will be the ideal set up and video image for us that want to see the way items perform and the true colors and shades.

Hello Tara, I like the new setting in the background. And your mic sounds good. My personal opinion the coloring is a tad off. It is making your skin look more olive. Not sure if anyone else is seeing this as well. But, that’s probably just a little tweaking that you’d have to do to make you look like your normal complexion. ♥️

In terms of staying power across the three brands (LM, VB, and Hourglass), is one better than the others? I have hooded, oily eyelids which is why I was initially drawn to the new eyeshadow sticks.

I had the SAME experience with Pecan! I will use it for lower last line but otherwise… I don’t like it. I’m disappointed! When I used it in my crease I also felt like it stayed sticky feeling all day. Such a yucky feeling! I also find they set pretty quickly, so you definitely need to do one eye at a time.

Now I am worried. I ordered the pecan and green bottle. Do you know what their return policy is like? Thank you for your review 🙂

I’m sorry you had technical issues and had to buy a new camera. What a pain. I think the new set up is great though-so lemonade out of lemons. 😉🙂 I think the volume is good too. I could hear you clearly and I don’t use headphones. 🙂 I probably won’t be picking these up or at least not any time soon. I just haven’t been in the mood for cream shadows lately.

Thank you for this review Tara. What was the wear time like for the VB sticks? I've heard they don't budge once applied? Have you tried applying pecan by picking up from the brush first, rather than applying directly to the skin & then blending out. I'm curious as to whether this makes a difference?

Well those were a disappointment huh? I have one of the caviar eye sticks, so I’m going to have to retry it. I have such hooded lids that the creasing is a real struggle

Hi Tara, I do have hooded eyes and I am interested in the most resilient eye shadow stick formula. What is your opinion on that?

I also have the same with pecan, however i find it the most beautifull brown shade that is so pretty, but its not blending, its patchy, and i have to drag my eye to get it good, so dissapointed, another reviewer said it was good so maybe we had a bad one?

The focus on the swatches wasn’t as vibrant as they usually are in your videos and the background as well….otherwise the lighting etc. is good.
