Aww damn, that sucks. I'm very sorry for your loss but unfortunately, it is a part of breeding tarantulas. It looked like he scared her and triggered a feeding response that he mistook for signs of interest, so he didn't attempt to run away quickly. Very sad indeed. RIP Reinar. :(

Hi mate, well was a invert show yesterday, I very nearly purchased one of this species 😂 but I had to take the red fang wandering spider instead! I'll get a H GIGAS soon 😊

They look amazing with their strong legs... if visible. They are very heavy burrowers... no idea why the female hasn't burrowed yet. Maybe because she is under another enclosure and it's dark enough...
