She is a master vocal technician and musician - and I mean a Real master - she has a variety of types of songs and duets that are just riveting. Her vocal coach (Seth Riggs) was the same one as Prince, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Madonna, Johnny Hallyday, and Barbra Streisand. Many of her online songs are basically master classes in singing.

SoHyang is UNBELIEVABLE to me, she's the best singer out there. I hope to see you react & analyse her perfomances more. I'd recommend Dream, Fate, Where Are You and Bridge Over Troubled Water. She has messed up on stage before but it's because she had many many many sick moments where she wasn't supposed to be even singing, she's a cancer survivor and till now her immunity is pretty weak so she gets sick often, for example this performance you just watched she had pneumonia and her doctor said she shouldn't even speak this day but she still chose to sing, so you can see what's she capable off. Hope to see you react to her more. I love your analysis and i've been learning so much from you.

She’s actually supported a c#6 mixes belt before. She’s the bb5 Queen. BUT IM SO GLAD YOU REACTED TO HER!!!!

I’ve never heard this girl before, but I am so stunned at how gorgeous, controlled, emotive and beautiful her voice is!! Definitely looking up more of her music!

Definitely react to more So Hyang! I would go so far to say that she’s the most technically proficient vocalist currently alive. Her mixed voice and head voice are incredible and her low notes and middle register are still really good for such a high tessitura. She actually had pneumonia during this performance so these notes are nothing for her. She can effortlessly support up to a C#6 in a fully balanced mixed voice (highest mixed note in this performance is G5) and she’s particularly famous for her incredible mixed Bb5s. She’s the queen of the upper 5th octaves and thanks to her head voice with consistent support to E6, she has some of the best 6th octave notes out there too. Not to mention her seamless transitions between registers and her near flawless technique in general. She’s a vocal monster thanks to 20+ years of vocal training and you should definitely check more of her out. I suggest “Arirang Alone” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” next.

Sohyang has one of the best vocal agility in the world... After Celine Dion, I'll pick her in the vocal agility category..... She even did great performing while still sick, she's a talented professional singer

I AM REALLY HAPPY THAT I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL XD. I have seen some vocal coach reacts but they don’t really educate me as much as yours! Also just some context about this performance: During that time she struggles through pneumonia and she was thinking of quitting singing. Since she is a gospel singer, I can really feel that this song is dedicated to God and appreciating His love. She also said that she felt that God is singing with her through this performance. This performance really gets me, the message, the arrangement, and her sincerity in this performance.

Hi Tara! I really enjoyed watching your reactions and I love Sohyang as well. I hope you'll review more songs by her. And I think you shoud know these incredible things about this incredible woman. Firstly, She's a cancer survivor (that's where all the emotional notes are from) after that she lost her ability to have children. But she kept singing that whole time and at some point in the past she thought of giving up her singing career because some of the audience just assumed that she only sreamed through out all her performaces. And then she attended on a show call "The Mask SInger" where the participants are all singers and they have to cover their faces, totally hide their identite and just sing without letting then to know who you are, she antended this show in order to figure out if the audience still want to hear her voice (you should react to her performaces at that show, it's amazing) ... long story short I love her and I enjoy your reactions, please make somemore if you have time. :D My suggest is "Sohyang - Fate", I got the link to video here for you. :D I'm sory I couldn't find the one with English subtitles but really hope you can react to this. (fyi I didn't understand the lyrics at first, I'm not Korean, I'm Vietnamese, a very far away country from your place so we have the "not speaking Korean" as common so... knowing the lyrics isn't going to be too necessary . Dear Tara Simon, i'm happy to see that a talented singer like you also has i eye for others. So Hyang is realy good so it's extra nice to hear the reaction from people who are in to music. If you realy whant A LOT SUBCRIBERS then please react to Dimash Kudaibergen - SOS. This singer from Kazakhstan was only 22 when he was in The Singer 2017 tv show from China. He can sing a lot of different songs/styles in a lot of different languages. And he can do even more things. A lot of people say he has the best voice in the world and i agree that he is realy good. It's easy to see that you are realy good so i realy hope you can give a reaction.

One of the crazy thing about Sohyang is, she sings about six or more songs in her concert performances one after another. At least three of those songs are difficult to sing (from layman's pov) with lots of belting such as You Raise Me Up, Arirang Alone, Bridge Over Trouble Water, Dream, Lean On Me, I Have Nothing, Hug Me, etc. She didn't seem to be fazed by that at all. She just take it in her stride and delivers all of them with the intensity needed of each song. She will be in NY to perform on 15 Feb 2019.
