Watched this one for the first time after Peter B died not to long ago. They were showing all his movies and this one I thought easily his best. Blew me away.

Man, I first saw this in 2003 when I owned a video store and pulled it randomly off the shelf. It is such a great film and it is nice that it is ending up on Criterion. Great talk on this film guys.

I think the story is that Karloff owed Corman a couple days work. Bogdanovich wanted to direct, and Corman said he could make any film he wanted so long as he used Karloff and , of course, stayed on/under budget (this is Corman we're talking about). PB also used scenes from The Terror. I've never heard that there was a mandate to use The Terror footage.

This was one hell of an excellent episode, loved it! Imo, one of the greatest movies ever made. Btw, not ''The Wild Bunch'' for 1969? And again, not gonna make a vote ('cause I don't have Instagram, and was that btw a reference to my NOTLD comment? lol), but my choice would be ''Putney Swope'' (which I finally bought last year on Blu-ray, released by the great label Indicator).

Tarantino said he rewatched Targets after making Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and realized he had been unconsciously inspired by the film. Look at the Cliff Booth scenes where he’s driving down the freeway listening to the radio.

America didnt learn anything with this movie we are here more than 50 years later and mass shooting happens almost everyday. Because the american society's sick with this crazy love for guns
