Part two of my two night Border ridge camp,
I left my camp spot on the Schil and headed for a coffee at the refuge hut, before heading out to complete my planned Cheviot horse shoe walk.

Cracking 2 day adventure mate , but must admit the cows would’ve spoilt it for me , id probably turned round 😬🙄, it turned wild the wind , I was meant to do a hill camp but sacked it off last minute, well done for sticking it out 👍🏻, thanks again for sharing, atb Deka 👍🏻🏕️🐄😬

Hi Deka and thanks for coming along again, cows are always waiting to come sniffing around, trouble is if they panic they may well stampede!!!!! And those young bulls are the worst, they can spoil a camp, yes the wind stopped the second hill camp but I still enjoyed the wood Cheers Adrian

Hi Dave, thanks for watching and I am glad you are enjoying a camp, tent definitely better for long wet nights, I love the bivy and although I bivy in all weathers, the tent is better in the rain. Where do your uplands cover ? Cheers Adrian

Those slabs are a godsend aren't they? Like a walkers motorway compared to slogging through bog. The top of the College valley is certainly a beautiful place and it's nice to have that refuge hut nearby if the weather goes pear shaped. Another great video that shows the Cheviots off to their best. Bliddy cows though- always make me slightly nervouis as well

THE CAMPING RULING ON DARTMOOR HAS JUST BEEN OVERTURNED! The right in law to do so was removed in January this year following a challenge by a landowner. But following an appeal from campaigners and Dartmoor National Park Authority, judges have unanimously agreed that the original law "confers on members of the public the right to rest or sleep on Dartmoor Commons, whether by day or night and whether on a tent or otherwise" as long as bylaws are followed. This makes us very happy!

The Cheviots are an unspoilt beauty it’s very tough walking but the rewards are amazing . You’ve done some miles on that trip in some very tough terrain . I really enjoyed your trip and from your enthusiasm I can tell you did too. I am with you on the Bivi camping along with a tarp I have had some of my best nights sleep sleeping in a bivi bag . I hope when you see your doctor you can get the advice you need just don’t over do things . Many thanks for bringing us along take care

Hi and thanks for coming along, yes it’s tough Walking but you get to some remote spots and can enjoy the wild peace of it all, I could have bivied up high on the second day if I used a hooped bivy, but they don’t really give the same experience as an open bivy and tarp, Glad you enjoyed it Cheers
