@@crystalsky9297 i disagree, we never find out how old he really is, but shes supposed to be 19. He wont be any older then 28 but one thing we know is he isnt her father figure. When you look at all the signs, them always being drawn to eachother and being the closest to eachother signs all point to the same thing. Plus, on the original script they were supposed to kiss twice.

@@crystalsky9297 Definitely not a father figure, maybe a brother figure from some perspective but there's so many romantic elements in that relationship... Like yes, they did meet when she was like six and he might've been 20ish, but if I'm going off the book, they wouldn't even have that many interactions and he certainly didn't remember a lot of their shared time when she was a child, she didn't either, he got stuck in time and maybe didn't age for some time, and they basically got to know each other anew. The relationship is pretty explicitly friends to lovers. Those goodbyes they have? That she has with no one else? Come on.

Okay, so he’s mad right? Obviously, yes. Tarrant basically has two sides of him which was most likely caused by Horunvendush day. His two states of being are “muchness” and “madness”. Muchness is his regular self. Speaking in an airy English accent with a lisp, eyes are green, facial markings and even his clothes bright and perky. Madness, however, is what Tim Burton actually referred to as his “defense mechanism”. Everything just goes dark. His eyes turn a sort of orange color, his clothes seem less vibrant, and the markings around his eyes go from colorful to blackish gray. His entire attitude and demeanor changes and he starts speaking in a rough Scottish, or Outlandish as they call it, accent. In this state he can be much more hostile and aggressive and could possibly become dangerous if not brought back by someone like Alice or Mallymkun. I hope this explains it, I’m sorry I wrote a whole essay lol
