Para preparar esta tarta vegana de fresa vamos a necesitar pocos ingredientes, todos muy fáciles de conseguir, a excepción de uno que tal vez requiera un poquitito más de esfuerzo para obtenerlo. Este ingrediente es el agar agar.
¿Qué es el agar agar?
El agar agar es un gelificante o espesante natural obtenido de las algas marinas. Digamos que es una grenetina vegetal, es decir, que no proviene de los animales. Con el agar agar logramos el mismo efecto que tiene la grenetina de gelificar líquidos.
¿En dónde puedo conseguir agar agar?
El agar agar se utiliza mucho en la cocina oriental, por lo tanto, es probable que puedas encontrarlo en alguna tienda que venda productos asiáticos. También lo puedes conseguir en tiendas donde vendan productos veganos/vegetarianos o incluso en tiendas naturistas. Pero si quieres ir a lo fácil y directo, simplemente puedes buscarlo en internet y vas a encontrar muchas opciones.
