====Description==== Golgo 13 is a trilogy of lightgun games developed by Eighting and Raizing and published by Namco. They are based on the manga of same name, following the adventures of Duke Togo/Golgo 13, a skilled hitman, as he takes on various different assignments. Golgo 13 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takao Saito, published in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic since October 1968. The series follows the title character, a professional assassin for hire. Golgo 13 is the oldest manga still in publication, and its tankōbon edition was certified by Guinness World Records as the highest number of volumes for a manga series. Namco and Eighting/Raizing developed three lightgun arcade games, similar to the Silent Scope series, but with a few differences. The rifle only contained a magnifying lens, not a small monitor like Silent Scope. The screen itself would close up on the target only when the sensor on the underside of the rifle base was activated by the player leaning their shoulder into it. Each mission was preceded by an eight- to ten-panel manga briefing. The game doesn't even tell you what to shoot since you're supposed to know the game well if you choose this mode. ======Stages====== -Stage 1 - The land of Sand Dust-fluttering 0:17 -GOAL: Shoot the front tire of the car -Stage 2 - Night of the Murder Cult 0:42 -GOAL: Shoot Vigram who is a terrorist -I got 998.2 like in the first game. -Stage 3 - Trolling Boat 1:17 -GOAL: Shoot mafia boss Fiorio from a boat. -I could not get a 1000 this time -Stage 4 - The shoes of the mafia 1:45 -GOAL: Shoot the heel of the right shoe -I found a 1000 earlier than in my other TAS (1:76 vs 2:35, 2:40) -Stage 5 - The night before the coup d'état 2:11 -GOAL: Shoot officer Grant who is planning a coup d'état before he gets on the helicopter -This time I got a 1000 earlier than in my other TAS (0:86 vs 1:03) -Stage 6 - Towing rope 2:35 -GOAL: Shoot the Towing Rope -Stage 7 - The hunting dog 3:04 -GOAL: Shoot the man identified by the dog -Normally you have to wait for the dog to identify the culprit, but since the culprit is known by the game before the start of the stage, in the TAS I could shoot the right man very early. -This time (the 4th) I got to shoot another man than the middle one. -But I could not do better than a 998.2 -Stage 8 - Turf magic 3:31 -GOAL: Shoot the horse with a counteractive drug, so he can pass the doping test after the race -This time I have found a 1000 earlier (0:91 vs 2:66) -Stage 9 - Anti Tank Shooting 3:54 -GOAL: Shoot the gun barrel of the tank from the front -Stage 10 - "G" Assassination Plan 4:23 -GOAL: Annihilate the guerrilla squad then shoot the helicopter -I did exactly the same as in my other TAS: 997.8 in 9:88 = $1,998,550 -I don't know why I didn't get the 1000, I didn't miss a shot. -But there seems to be a problem, the graph at the end shows 22 moves but I only shot 20, maybe that's why I can't get 1000? -I checked this in 3 other videos on YT and there are also 21-22 shots on the chart (this looks like a bug to me) -Stage 11 - Semiconductor crisis 5:09 -GOAL: Shoot the man in the blue suit -I did not find a better spot than 998.2 -For the first time (in 4) the scrolling direction was from right to left. -Stage 12 - Speaker's past 5:36 -GOAL: Shoot Chairman Yoshida from an helicopter -This time the best I could do is 998.2 -Stage 13 - Blizzard 6:01 -GOAL: Annihilate the National Police Force -You have to shoot 7 men, you get 1000 points if you didn't miss any shots. -Stage 14 - The assassination garden 6:31 -GOAL: Shoot the spy, who is one of 4 men -There are 4 men spread across 4 locations, you need to watch them until you see the spy running with his gun drawn. -The spy is randomly determined before the screen appears, which is why I didn't need to wait for him to reveal himself before shooting him. -This time around I got a 1000 😀 -Stage 15 - Cut image 'G' 6:59 -GOAL: Shoot the diamond -Stage 16 - A closed room called solitary confinement 7:27 -GOAL: Shoot the prisoner through 2 automatic doors (one rotating and one sliding) -I got 998.2, I could not find a better spot, exactly like in my other TAS -Stage 17 - Challenge from the Bomb man 7:56 -GOAL: Shoot the battery of the bomb before the elevator reach the middle of the building -Stage 18 - Closed Burial Chamber 8:23 -GOAL: Security Chief Hasad is hiding from Golgo 13 in a pyramid. Shoot him from the vent. -This time I could not do better than 998.2 -Stage 19 - An Undercover agent 8:49 -GOAL: Shoot the assassin who hide behind the hostage -996.5 in 0:85 = $1,922,990 -You can shoot very early but you only have about 2 pixels between the window and the hostage -You can get a better shot by waiting, but you have to wait so long that you get less money. -Stage 20 - The Bloodstained gene 9:16 -GOAL: Eliminate the warrior enhanced by biotechnology -This stage is in 2 parts: 1 - Shoot the man 4 times 2 - Shoot him in the head -You can shoot as many bullets as you want in the first part of this stage, you only lose time, only the accuracy of the shot in the second part gives you points -This time I did not find a 1000 points as early as in my other TAS (0:50 vs 0:36) -I didn't find the spot to score 1000 points in each stage.
