Super Mario 74 Extreme Edition is a remixed version of the Super Mario 74 romhack. This hack aims to be even more difficult to the original Super Mario 74 hack, replacing and redoing several levels such as adding lava pools where water normally would be.
This TAS aims to collect all 157 stars, by performing tedious and complicated moves to get certain stars, as well as collecting 100 coins in each level, making sure every coin collected counts.

The entry to Crudelo Sphere is honestly fantastic (in a way). The *6 straight seconds* of Mario falling through the entire level from top to bottom, giving you a bird's-eye view of all of the _PAIN_ you're about to be suffering through, all accentuated by the opening organ notes of Ultimate Koopa... Everything just comes together to paint the perfect picture and really drive the despair in deep of the Hell you've just entered.

You’re right, and while we’re on the subject of red coins, I believe Ztar Zanctuary has the most red coins in the game, coming in at 30 reds, even more than the 20 red coins that Crudelo Sphere has. This is from the PC port of this game though, not sure if the OG version is the same.

This rom hack was one of the first ever, with the first "major" romhack with custom levels being the original sm74, and this romhack a year later. The tools are much better nowadays so levels are cleaner and music is better.

This is an amazing fan made game, most of them deserve to be considered official Nintendo games. It just amazes me the talent of people out there and strong super fans. It is just unreal that fans made this and not professional Nintendo video game designers.

basically because Bad colisions in slopes Mario referenced floor si the death plane for a moment so the Game trigger the "death by fall" animation then kills mario (or smth like that)

Ah, yes, it's Funny Hoo-Hoo Man™, keeping himself in practice by showing off his Backwards Long Jumping™ prowess in a ROM hack with way too much molten lava. *S Y S T E M O F A D O W N* town. ^^ Did I see the basement of Grunty Industries (air conditioning plant) at one point? When a level has more than eight Red Coins in it, why do the first few all say "0" and make unusual sounds that I presume are calls to an out of bounds function or simply the sounds in sequence before the Red Coin noises?

my assumption is that the game assumes any number less than 1 must be 0 for red coins, and yeah its probably in sound effect sequence.

I am just blown away that there are some genius Nintendo and Sega and video game fans in general who make hacked versions or remake of these classic games with fan made versions. Most of these people work like pro's and deserve a job working for Nintendo and Sega. It is phenomenal what these other two designers did with Legend of Zelda with the unreal engine 5 remake. Their work is even better then what I saw in Breath of the Wild and phenomenal and amazing.
