Dragon's Lair is much better known in its incarnations for other platforms as an FMV game with only slight amounts of control over the player's action. The NES version is more of a traditional platformer, but very smooth animation for the era and funny-looking characters inspired by the cartoon graphics of the other versions - this includes the final boss, who isn't seen very much in this run thanks to abuse of the game mechanics.
This is an improvement of around two seconds to the previous run ( tasvideos.org/... ).

As an 80s kid who remembers the absolute crowds around the original arcade game I can’t imagine how many were excited as hell to get this game on Christmas only to find….this.

This version was so terrible. At least the Commodore 64 version tried to mimic the arcades versions style of play

Oof. Terrible. Still better than Cyberpunk. Edit: The animations are amazing, though. Very good for the NES.

Man, it's so cathartic to watch this piece of shit game get TAS'd. this game is awful, and is a complete bastardization of the original arcade game.
