Dragon's Lair is much better known in its incarnations for other platforms as an FMV game with only slight amounts of control over the player's action. The NES version is more of a traditional platformer, but very smooth animation for the era and funny-looking characters inspired by the cartoon graphics of the other versions - this includes the final boss, who isn't seen very much in this run thanks to abuse of the game mechanics.
ktwo ( tasvideos.org/... ) improves the previous TAS ( tasvideos.org/... ) done on the USA release of the game by 0.17 seconds, thanks to better optimisation. Note that there are differences in execution for some of the levels when compared to the Japanese release. You can watch the TAS of the Japanese release of the game here. ( tasvideos.org/... )

If anyone's wondering about the USA bit there, the American version runs slower than intended, making an already difficult game much more miserable to play through.

It's so satisfying, knowing this game is a purge, as far as i remember, when you take the wrong floor, you restart all the game.

I hate this game. Some are bad, others hard, but this is one of the more infuriating experiencies in gaming.
