Hot Wheels: Extreme Racing is a 2001 racing game for the Sony Playstation, based on the popular race car toy series. Within each race, the vehicles have the ability to transform into different types of engines, either useful for land, water, air, or all-terrain.
Using the Rollcage vehicle, and maxed-out speed options, somyeol ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/s... ) races though (or rather zips though) all possible cups in record time.

thanks to whomever tagged all the load times as intermissions on SponsorBlock! it's really tedious to do that, but these are so much better to watch without loading :)

Well hot damn, I was not expecting to see a task of one of my favorite racing games ever, and one of my favorite games from childhood! Holy crap, built up explosions of speed a la Mario 64! Awesome!

Okay, I expect a bit of janky weirdness for the sake of speed with TASs, but this is a new one. What trickery did the programmer use here?

I think if you use a Turbo Power Up while in the air, you carry momentum to the tyres, and then when the tyres touch the ground again it goes at speed of light
