2 жыл бұрынHey guys, I am back again with another new TAS, this time on the hardest track on TrackMania, Final Enigma. This required quite a lot of effort and although it was a bit painful to go through the process sometimes, it was rewarding to see success.
You may be wondering if this track has already been TAS'ed, yes, it has been done by Wasker, but I am the first to TAS Final Enigma using TMI (TrackManiaInterface) and that's the feeling that encouraged me to keep going.

Before you go ahead and just skip this part of the description as most people do, I really wanna deeply thank these people for helping to make this TAS, probably wouldn't have been possible without you!

Process:
For this jump the attempt from CatTitan wasn't great, but it got completed, decided to optimize it from scratch and got a way better one after messing around a bit, he managed to get a proper landing for the long jump.
With Kimuras help, he managed to get some promising attempts for the bugslide cut and the pipe part as well, he has also helped with this precision part and got close to getting CP7, helped with jump after CP7.
For Gbod, he helped with accomplishing the Bugslide Cut to next CP, helped with this part as well as Kimura
For the pipe Jump after CP7, we had a little trouble of course with speed and stuff like that and landing, but was able to use bruteforce to get the landing.
When attempting to Noseboost to the finish, we had a little bit of trouble, got really close attempts at first but kimura was able to change the angle and get a good bounce off of the edge and then bounce off of the tower into the finish

Well done, took us all 12 days and i'm relieved that its over! The sections that took us the longest: - Pipe Cut (1:40) 3.5 days - End Noseboost (4:50) 3 days - Freewheel/Turtle Skip (3:30) 1.5 days

Thank you so much, Kimura as explained in the description managed to change the angle for the bounce, he got pretty close without using bruteforce, he then used bruteforce and a little while later it gave a much higher bounce than what he originally got.

Trial. And the hardest map ever made. Difference between RPG and Trial. RPG Themed maps which often incorporate many styles. RPG tracks often consist of inside passages, tricks like pipe balancing, wallride balancing, difficult jumps and mazes. Common elements include modded textures, stories, grand scenery, wayfinding, and heavy use of mediatracker. Can include Trial elements. Trial A challenge to reach every checkpoint. May contain very precise jumps and balancing elements with little room for error. Rarely used parts of blocks. A test of patience and skill. Often (very) long track lengths.

@@gl1tch3d_tm could you try making a TAS on a04? I really want to see a nose boost on it.. maybe ramp bug into position? I don’t know if it will save time, but might be cool to try as it’s a short map and most likely won’t take too long.

Also for those who are probably disliking the video because of the blackscreen turtle skip (3:30), it's technically not cheating because it's a TAS run And to be fair, there are a couple other shortcuts in the video Comment made by Shweets inside TAS discord server: "Since the start of TAS people have been messing with mediatracker to remove forced cams, so why not black screen too?"

Pretty sure you can just drop to grass, get around the stadium, gather some speed and get a edgebug into noseboost from the beginning. So with that way you prob can noseboost all over the map from the start and potentially get like a 2-3 min run.

I've actually tried this, it's not as easy to do as one might think, you have to take into account the highly elevated checkpoints and there's only few good spots where you can reboost again and again.

@@gl1tch3d_tm yeah i never said that it would be easy, but its possible :P Also there is prob one hard cp to get and thats cp3, its the cp that placed on the highest spot, but that cp has a booster downhill so if you take it you dont need to keep noseboosting, if its a hard angle. Just respawn and get into noseboost position after all the boosters and keep going :3

Im a taser of other racing games, and i approached trackmania in the past weeks, im quite interested in tasing tm2020, but since its not really the usual emulated game seen on tasvideos site, i was wondering whats the setup to get everything going. Like what program and such, to handle savestates and reading data off memory. Thank you in any case!

Here, you can download Trackmania Interface here which allows you to create these types of runs for free and there's no emulator needed. donadigo.com/tminterface/ It also tells you how to use save states, bruteforcing and triggers for more precision.
