Normally, I'm all for the individual task pity point. But when the task is "pass this test," and you score a literal zero, Guy was lucky.

It's so fun seeing the other contestants being confused trying to figure out if they have missed something and realising that only one person had to do the task :D

I'm not familiar with the New Zealand school system, but from the bits that Guy read out that does not sound like a hard test.

As someone who is about to sit this test, I think the paper he's taking is an MCAT which is an algebra exam that you have to do without a calculator (or abacus). I reckon the question he read out was one of these easier types of questions, because we just did it and it was HARD, or maybe I'm just really bad at algebra.

Nothing comes CLOSE to the UK version, but NZ is definitely the closest. Pretty damn decent!

What exactly does Level One mean. Starting college? Starting High school?

Usually the middle of high school, so when you’re around 15-16. It’s the first year your grades really impact anything, although from what he read out that test sounded abnormally easy for NCEA level 1.
