Taskmaster

Күн бұрын

Sometimes the Taskmaster likes to set individual tasks for his favourite contestants, just so they can humiliate themselves further. Here's a selection of the greatest solo tasks in the history of Taskmaster.

------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Wait. In the cheeky text messages task, the actual task was "one message a day for the next five months", and the 150 was just a separate remark from Alex simply calculating 5 times 30. If Mark actually sent one message every day for five months, and there were 148 actual days, 148 messages is absolutely enough for the completion of the task.
@51Dutchman
@51Dutchman 3 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t work. Lowest number of days over 5 months is if the end of the months of February through June are accounted for, which would be a total of 28 (assuming it’s not a leap year) + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30, or 150. Still a bummer.

I saw a similar comment on another video, but the fact that Josh did multiple solo counting tasks and didn't immediately speak up about that tells me that he figured they were setting up for his other segments and didn't want to ruin their buildup. Like, after the baked beans thing, he could have been like, "Did anyone else count spaghetti hoops as well!?" But instead he just sat back and waited for the next bit to appear naturally. He may have been frustrated, but he's still got a comedian's wit, and I really appreciate that.
