The brown cheese is delicious, but you're not supposed to eat it straight out of the package. Try it on a freshly baked, warm waffle. You'll be surprised. I brought it to some french friends. After a week they had found twenty new uses for it.

Smør is butter, and bukk is a buck. Mandelkjernepudding: lets break it up: Mandel is Almond, kjerne is core, and pudding is pudding. :) Fox in Norwegian is rev, and the candy is a classic, it has been around for more than 40 years. Melkesjokolade is Milk Chocolate Gudbrandalost is camellized goats cheese. Gudbrandal is a place in Norway. You chould actually not eat it without bread. It should be eaten on a hard bread with butter and the cheese on top. It is a traditional farmers cheese from the old days. I love this cheese, but there is a other one that is really bad if you ask me. Gamelost, it tastes almost like grandpas old sweaty wool socks after a month use. I tried it once never again. :) Tørrfisk is Dry fish, it is actually eaten like a dish on travel in the mountain for example when you are hungry. Kjempelumper, lets break it ut: Kjempe means big or great, and lumper i really do not know but I guess on lump or chunk. Jordbær is strawberry. Mandler is Almonds

I am Norwegian, and I am sitting here and watching you eat all of these Norwegian Food. Kvikk lunsj is translation for quick lunch, it has originally a bigger package, inside the paper it would be some mountain trips you could do here in norway

The missing chocolate piece is a part of a competition. If you have one with the missing piece you also get a code on the inside. If you get the winning code you get a real size gold chocolate piece. I was mad that it had one less piece when i didn't get the winning code.

I'm slightly disappointed that you didn't make note of the inside of the milk chocolate wrapping, as they come with a fairy tale from Norway. And yes, the Gudbrandsdal cheese is an acquired taste, we ween ourselves onto it from a young age.

I think it's difficult to like the brown cheese if you haven't eaten it while growing up. :') I find it amazing! But it is supposed to be cooled and served on (freshly baked) bread with butter and also jam if you'd like. Glad you liked pretty much everything else, tho! : D

Stop saying it's a lot like kitkat! It is kitkat that's a lot like kvikk lunsj!! In fact Kvikk Lunsj won a court case against kitkat about that not long ago.They stole our candy and now the world must live with a crappier version of kvikk lunsj :(((!

'Kvikk Lunsj' was launched onto the market in 1937, while 'Kit Kat' (the four fingered bar) was launched in 1935. So 'Kit Kat' is not a rip-off of 'Kvikk lunsj'. I wouldn't really call 'Kvikk Lunsj' a rip-off of 'Kit Kat' either, it's simply the Norwegian equivalent of a 'Kit Kat'.

I stated that the four fingered bar variant of 'Kit Kat' was launched in 1935, two years prior to 'Kvikk Lunsj', meaning that 'Kit Kat' can't be a copy/rip-off of 'Kvikk Lunsj'. I didn't say 'Kit Kat' owned the design of the bar or anything. The point of my original comment was that there are going to be similar chocolates in different countries, and that I wouldn't call either chocolate a rip-off/copy.

So funny that you mentioned Ole Gunnar Solskjær! From 2011-2013 he was a manager of the football club "Molde Fotballklubb" (from Molde, my hometown). He led the club to two Norwegian league titles and the Norwegian Football Cup Final :)

On the missing square of chocolate, they instead make the whole thing fatter, when it's got all the squares, it's thinner and easier to break off, so they just spread the chocolate that would be missing around, so they're actually not removing any of it.

Is it just me that think it's a bit funny with all the norwegian coments telling non norwegian people how good norwegian food etc... tastes? "Tørrfisk" is dry cod I think! I come from Northern-Norway (Lofoten) there they make that dry fish :)

Such a fun video! Especially when you tried to pronounce the Norwegian names and labels! Only thing I had to say though, the Brunost (Brown cheese) are not supposed to be served warm. It needs to be served cold, The cheese is made with goat milk btw, so you can also use it in different foods, like Finnbiff (a traditional Norwegian meal/stew with reindeer meat, mushroom, sour cream, milk, juniper, and potatos.) Keep up the good work man! With love from Norway!

Just want to add this about those Walters Mandler chocolate.. Yes, one block was missing because of a competition, but because of that, they made all the other blocks a little bit thicker, so there would still be as much chocolate as normal ^^

Reason it tastes bad. (The brown cheese) Is because you need bread to eat it. Its not something like normal cheese you can eat with nothing else.

The wrapper of the milk chocolate is a picture from a very old norwegian fairytale about how it went when the man was without his wife for one day where he had to cook and give the cow food (he put it o the roof so it could eat grass from the roof so he wouldn't have to walk it to the fields) :D

That Brunost was gone bad, it has been left in the warmth. Brunost is supposed to be served cold, and obviously before it expires. Almost everybody likes brunost, I think you just had bad luck and didn't treat your brunost with the respect it deserves, so it went bad on you.

btw the walters mandler sith missing pieces are exactly the same amount of grams as the whole ones... a bit thicker i think. it is part of a competition that says if u find 1 with a missing piece u have a small chanse of winning the missing piece in gold!

The Walters Mandel chocolate was a competition that Freia was running. They had a missing piece og chocolate and in every package there was a code. You went to their website and entered the code and you could win that missing piece og chocolate in gold! But they did also make the rest of the chocolate pieces bigger so it is the same amount of chocolate as before!:) the missing piece is just for show! Loved this video!:)
