Goggled why am eggplant is called an eggplant. It came about when the British people occupied India and they found the white eggplant and named them eggplants because they were shaped like an a chicken egg. Got this from several pages.

Not sure if anyone commented this yet but popping corn isn't what you want this device for. As you know a microwave works well for "popping" corn what it doesn't work well for is "popping" other types of grains. The device you have there is capable of "popping" or "puffing" other low water content grains such as Rice which again the microwave cannot do. Puffed Rice and Wheat is really good prepared like kettle corn. That's what you should be using it for.

I know the chances of the product failing and blowing up is minuscule but you kept having your arm pointing directly in front of the popcorn maker. If it blew up it would have aimed straight at you. Treat that end of the maker like a loaded gun and whilst you are heating it don’t ever point anything near it.

So hard to find a recipe that doesn't use condensed milk for the caramel, I know they exist but they've just disappeared off KZfaq, the condensed milk makes a way too soft caramel in my opinion and the flavor is different ,any help out there? Should I just do a regular caramel using sugar and water, then add cream? Thanks

Is distilled water that hard to get there? We have distilled water at the grocery store by the gallon. It's just next to the spring water and the bottle of water. Actually a lot of people don't know it's not the best option for drinking water.

I am absolutely shocked. You have never seen ratatouille! It is one of the best food movies out there. Also, I’m fully supportive of you making more dishes from movies.

I thought that was a brinjal. And the purple vegetable is called eggplant because they are related to the original white vegetable you showed in the video.

Barry it came out gorgeous. Brought a smile to my face. I first made ratatouille in the 70s but a more rustic stewy version. When I saw the cartoon I smiled and said to myself "I'll never do all that fussy Escoffier-type work" Actually watching you do it was fun. All the best Jim Mexico
