Wow we make similar thing in Jaffna, Sri Lanka we call it Vazhaipazham Mothagam, We fry the overly ripe banana with the coconut and Kithul Panni (a type of sugar from a specific palm we use in Sri Lanka) until thick and dark brown, then we mix ripe banana with flour same as done here and fill and steam.
