In this second outing for Castlevania on the Game Boy, Simon's ancestor Christopher must defeat 5 castles, rescue his son, and destroy Dracula yet again. Featuring exceptional boss strategies and clever damage management the author dominates this handheld game.
scrimpeh ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/s... ) improves the previous publication ( tasvideos.org/1250M ) by 24.52 seconds (after accounting for emulation differences), thanks to new strategies, damage routes and better optimisation. It's only in the Japanese version. It replaces the Axe.

Except that the American version does not have the cross, only Holy Water and Axe

So The Japanese version was better? I mean, i feel the jumps of Christopher more longer in this version and the cross is included in this version

@feigninghappiness :3 nope The fireball from the whip only hits one enemy While the cross can hit more enemies in the screen or it can hit the same enemy while is returning The cross is pretty op sometimes

I'd rather have the Cross than the axe, deals more damage than fireball

@feigninghappiness :3 you're right the axe is useful especially against the birds, but the reason I love the cross is because it acts like a boomerang, the fireball is really good too, but it only does as much damage as the initial whip form

I actually refused to use the axe or holy water. Having gotten used to Castlevania Adventure, the axe and holy water almost felt like cheating.

You play as Christopher Belmont who has set out to search for his missing son Solieyu Belmont. After some time, 4 Castles have appeared as from nowhere, when all castles have been destroyed, Castlevania will rise from the water's surface. I think that was how it went🤔
