Not only was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night the first installment of the Castlevania series on PSX but also the first PSX game to have a published run ( tasvideos.org/1246M ) here. Follow Dracula's son Alucard as he glitches through the castle on a quest to end his father's life.
ForgoneMoose ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/F... ) manages to improve the previous run by 00:21.55 seconds due to better luck manipulation and movement technique.
A run that beats the game even faster through save data corruption is available here ( tasvideos.org/2547M ), and a 100% run covering the whole castle can be found here ( tasvideos.org/1592M ). If you prefer the main character to have muscular bare arms and to pray to the rain gods to defeat bosses, you may enjoy the Richter ( tasvideos.org/1275M ) version. really? How strange, she says that sometimes when you get in low health, if I am not mistaken. Maybe it was rare for you to be with her when rarely you would get in low health (given how the game is too much easy)

It happens when she try to use an item to heal you (Potion, Uncurse, Antivenom etc...) and you don't have that item in your inventory.

@@Raiko11 i rarely used any of the shield rods spells. Normally just get the marsil sword and use its abilities to shatter opponents

He started in luck mode by using a specific file name, it nerfs all of Alucard’s stats but buffs his luck so crits are devastating in power

Medusa shield spell. Every shield in the game does an action that you can perform by equipping Shield Rod or Mablung Sword along with any shield and then pressing both the shield / sword at the same time.

it was a medusa sheild and sheild rod i think to activate equip both of those weapons then press ∆+O to activate also works on other sheilds and alucard sheild is just op

With tas speed runs , are users adding in codes and Cheats(like invulnerability)Or just addons like fast dashing or rapid attacks to assist the run?

No codes, cheats or add-ons are ever added in TAS runs. Runs are done using a Tool Assistant software to perform an action as fast as possible (inputting a dash at the next possible moment for example), making each input as frame perfect as possible, giving the illusion they are sped up more.

No codes or add ons. TAS are basically scripts that allow the user to progress the game frame by frame and input commands (such as movement) as soon as the game allows, which is by default much faster than what a human is capable of. Imagine being able to perceive time in less than milliseconds while being able to act in that time as well. That's what a TAS basically allows someone to do.

Medusa Spell, which is performed by using Mablung Sword or Shield Rod and the shield at the same time. Every shield in the game has a spell / action that can be used only that way.
