Tata punch is one of the most interesting vehicles from Tata and is one of the safest cars in the segment.
At a price of under 10 lakh, it sounds like a good deal, also with the kind of features that it offers and the road presence that you get us definitely one of the best in the segment
A lot of people do not talk about the long-term issues faced with the Tata punch and today we are going to discuss and understand the same.
Tata punch offers excellent drivability with its 1.2 liters naturally aspirated engine with three cylinders. The talking point of the Tata is its fuel-efficiency the bs6 motor is smoother than ever and offers extremely good fuel efficiency which should work wonders for people who are using the car for a city commute.
Tata also offers custom packs for Tata punch so that users can go for better options even on the base model like sound system or music system this gives the customers a lot of options even if they are on a budget now that's a great move by Tata and you get to see this on the Tata Altroz as well.
In terms of technology, you get connected car tech which offers a lot of options from the very good sounding Harman sound system which is a proven product on the other tata cars I am very satisfied with the overall quality and performance of the sound system.
I think this is one of the best Highway cruisers that you can get at this point.
Tata Punch also comes with dual paint options and there will be a lot of different aftermarket options available for the car.
The biggest talking point of the Tata punch is going to be like any other Tata car and that is safety. When it comes to safety there is no compromise and is one of the safest cars from Tata stable and when you shut the door you feel that the doors are heavy, the body sturdy, you feel like you are in a secure place when you drive the car.

90 degree door open feature is actually very helpful for those having lumber pain or leg related issues that they don’t have to bent at all . Also for senior citizens this feature really helps them to get in and out without any problems

a thing to consider bud... A person with disability or an aged person tends to hold the door for support... If the door opens soo wide... Then they don't have any stable support to hold onto

Mine is creative MT and the AC works just fine..very satisfying. Ride quality is very guud in bad roads..where other hatchback car struggles to pass the potholes, punch passes like butter smooth...and its my everyday experience

I completely disagree with you if any feature is not useful for you it does not means it is useless. 90 degree door open is one of the best feature given by Tata. I am traveling to office by cab for almost 13 years, and door opening to limited degree is really a problem.

Woh toh thik hai khul jaega 90 degree..fir jabh door bandh karne jaoge tabh kya hoga...apka hath utna durr jaega kya.... Fir apko stretch karke utna padega aur jiske hath lambe nhi hai uska toh literally bahar pair rakh door bandh karna padega....

I am planning to buy a Tata Punch Accomplished model in a few months, i feel it's a bit over priced but is there any other car in that range which is reliable & has the features punch accomplished offers, pls suggest a good car in 9 L range. I own a Punch and the AC is excellent...even when the car is parked for hours under the Sun..it hardly takes 5 minutes to cool down....also the door opens 90 degrees is one of the most wonderful features...I had to take a patient to the hospital and placed him comfortably in the rear seat...had this been any other vehicle the same would not have been possible.

Wide open doors will help for old peoples... and if you want load something in rare seat you will find it helpfull.... Two main problems are: 1.Engine power 2.no central lock Minor problem 1: plastic quality

The reason why Aircon could be ineffective is because there is a default heating that the air goes through before it is cooled. My punch was taken by Tata to conduct extensive troubleshooting and measured the air temp with just fan on (with a/c off) there is a gradual heating that happens , the air got to 45deg C while outside airtemp was 26deg!! All the while the knob was kept towards full cool side. There is a serious Aircon flaw with Tata punch.

Sirji, your terminology pertaining to head restraints has to be upgraded from head rest. They are serious safety related components. Citroen C3 model variables 2nd row centre passenger head restraint and seatbelt equipment is not acceptable. So the same with many manufacturers. Please focus on safety issues of passengers cars.

I have Tiago BS6, it does not have 90 degree door opening but I think I should have gone for Altroz for that feature only because my father had a paralytic attack on his right side and he is not able to walk like he used to. While sitting in Tiago, there is some issue but I don't think there will be any problem with Altroz or Punch. So yes, 90 degree door openings are practical for senior citizens and people with some physical problems.

I am also facing some issues in my tata punch.. abhi October me Li hai.. but abhi se issue Ane shuru ho gye hai.. agar engine band karke fule bharwao.. or uske baad car start karo to gadi me kilometres update nhi hote.. milage update nhi hote.. baat karu breaking system ki to highway pe agar 80 ya 90 ki speed pe achanak break Marni padh Jaye to break missing Marti hai.. ekdum se break nhi lagti.. fule bharwane ke baad KMS bhut jaldi jaldi drop hote hai... Gadi RPM bhut uthati hai.. for example agar mene first gare dala or Bina race diye thoda sa clutch choda to gadi ka rpm apne aap 950 se 1200 tak pahuch jata hai . Aisa to kissi car me nhi hota apne AAP rpm uthayegi to but obvious hai ki gadi fule zada piyegi..

First of all, thank you so much, not everyone talks about negative points. I am looking to buy a new car and punch was the first one in my list but this video could be an eye opener because apart from day to day city usage I go for fun/long drives & do off roading too, so drive quality & feel is the priority. Can you suggest any one in 7 to 9 lacks range? second one in my list was Altroz (diesel because it has 4 cylinders) and i10 Nios. i20 is a bit high in budget & not liking new model's exterior, rather I would go for Venue if budget gets increase somehow

@@sukhwindersingh-cd7cq which variant did you book? I feel base variants are value for money, not higher, they are too expensive, doesn't worth for this engine configuration, Citroen C3 looks more promising to me instead of punch. Anyway base variants of punch are still a worth buy.

Bhai, me ek doctor hu and muje bhi driving experience satisfactory chahiye, Mera first option was punch as my budget was 7-8 L but uska gear box is pathetic. Abhi my second option is Ignis and baleno. Ignis driving experience is mind blowing

Auto makers now must involve keen and top youtubers to test their product to improve minor issues which could enhance usability alot. No Arm rest, cabin roof light, back seat headrest and the door lock really put a dent on punch image. Such a good car but these small shortcomings are visible to naive users as well who dont know about cars much. KZfaqrs can help companies before launch they understand users better than manufacturers.

Thanks a lot for the video. Very informative. I noticed one more issue in my friend's Altroz, the door lock from within car can be easily unlocked by children. Its comon sense, this should have been tackled properly. Can you please confirm if the same issue is there with Punch? I currently own the new Hyundai Santro and was thinking of upgrading, and I am not a SUV fan at all. But I think all the TATA cars apart from build quality/design not a value for money purchase and are flawed.... I was thinking of considering Amaze VX, i20 sportz, Baleno zeta, Punch/Altroz. But if that lock issue is there, then I will drop both the TATA options.

I agree with you on few points that fit and finish is very poor and loses premimumness and definitely lower variant of any tata car price wise if ok but higher variant is very expensive. Had seen Tata Harrier AT and the gear knob is literally shaking never seen before.

@@autocritic I am not against any TATA fan but just sharing my opinion that after paying so many lacs of rupees if you don't get fit and finish and sales service and features with engine sound like a truck and gear issues I would say no to that. And yes if buying tata then definitely extended warranty is required. We cannot just say build build baki kuch nahi. If one wants build then go for Taigun VW build aur finish sab milta hai. Abhi toh maruti had good build on Baleno and Wagan r I have seen looks superb. However again in terms of pricing baleno loses against i20

I have taken Tata Punch from Jhadewalan Delhi but it seems that I have made some mistake with Tata car, only showroom people harassed me. The delivery was late, that day the whole program of the house was late, the Jesus of the door came in the car, the doors were not closing but 1 km. No answer even after being away, 2 days without car, door of car remained open, but no solution came out from showroom and company, even when plate was not received, whenever I called, got answer, it is installed yesterday and call tomorrow Do it. The man is on leave, everyone gives different answers, so I found Tata's service worst, till now God is the owner, how will he give service

since its dashboard is of black colour so it absorbs lot of solar radiation and gets heated, to improve ac performance, place a blue, green or grey colour towel or cover on the dashboard. Or apply a good thermal blocking sun film on the windshield.

Hi sir, am from Hyd city. Around 9-10 lakhs budget, looking for automatic transmission. I am confused between Hyundai grand i10 nios sportz amt and Tata Punch accomplished amt. Just want to know if tata Punch amt transmission and engine is reliable and will not have any major issues with it as seen lot of negative comments on it KZfaq. Monthly less than 500 kms, 70% city, 30% highway. Please reply sir..

Before comparing with other brands related to speed pick up pls remind about kerb weight and stability. All brands are having issue but guys are focusing on TATA only. First of all fully loaded vehicle should not go more than 80kmph.

Yes .AC jyada effective nahi aur engine refined nahi hai 1 St 2 nd gear mai bhi kabhi jhatake de jaati hai .

sir ek baat clear karna, agar hamarey pass punch ka base model hai without any center locking, agar in case driver side ke bahar koi deewar hai aur hum passenger side se bahar nikaltey hai, to hum gadi lock kaise karengey and agar lock ho gayi to fir unlock kaise karengey, kyun ki driver wali side door lock tak hum nahi pahunch saktey.
