She lied to people, people caught her on her lie, went out to buy the mascara to test it out for themselves; everyone confirms the same: it’s an average mascara, does basically the same as any other mascara, nothing special about it, other than it’s trending right now for being in controversy. Everyone confirmed that it doesn’t give you that false lashes look (because only false lashes will duh). It just annoys me because I really liked her content & assumed she was a reliable person who only cares about having fun with makeup, not for commission or clout. But I guess that’s my fault for believing :( I know people act differently when they see the opportunity of a check coming in, but idk it’s really crazy how she basically threw away all of her credibility for a check??? Even if L’Oreal told her to NOT wear a lash, and she did it just to complete the look-why not specifically say that??? A lot of people finish their mascara by topping it off with a false lash-what’s the shame in being like “hey this is the mascara without false lashes, and this is the mascara with false lashes”?? Maybe it wouldn’t have caused all of this drama & money for L’Oreal but she still would have kept her fan’s trust in place. If I was her friend I wouldn’t even know what to say-bc how are you cool with lying to your followers??? Like… did we forget that multiple ppl involved in “dramageddon” had seedy histories involving literal CHILDREN. I get being mad that she lied. I remember early KZfaq days one of my fave KZfaqrs did her first sponsored video with a local business and all the comments were crazy saying SELL OUT & stuff like that so I understand why Tati was nervous to take some of the offers especially early on. It took a minute for people to realize that creators are worthy of compensation I feel like 2009/2010 hit and it slowly became more normal.

I remember some advertising drama went down in the South Korean KZfaqr space about creators not mentioning sponsorships when they had them and now nobody can trust Korean content creators when they have any item in their videos. I actually think there's some law against it as well, which is why it was such a big deal.

The only thing I disagree with what Tati said was about being torn apart for not seeming to like a product when it’s sponsored content imo beauty influencers were able to take any sponsorship pretend they like it and move on without even thinking about it nowadays you can go to comments on any tik tok where someone likes a product (sponsored or not) and you’ll immediately see people saying the product sucks or the person is fake etc. people followed whatever an influencer said back in the day but nowadays it’s about honesty and transparency and as soon as you lose that the internet turns. She’ll (Mikayla) probably still do well but it won’t be the same.

The mascara is GREAT in my opinion, so it's really sad to see Mikayla making a false advertisement. The mascara can grow your lashes and become noticeable, but no, you will not grow more lashes from it !!!!
