I like Betty and Allen and their marital stability too. It was for 18 years. But let's not forget Bill and Ann. They were married 35 years till death did they part.

I love how Jo Ann KNEW her husband would say "tight slacks" but went with audience choice....that after he SAID "tight slacks" Jo Ann gets up and walks over to the audience to razz them... that the camera kind of focuses on Jo Ann's "tight slacks" she is wearing. See? she knows what her husband likes!! LOLOLOL

That was my favorite part because when I am playing along I am guessing tight slacks given by what she had on when they entered and the curves that Ms. Pflug had.

So if every couple won every question, what did the audience get? A few bucks?
@wschmrdr
@wschmrdr 3 жыл бұрын
There were 100 people in each section, so the number you see is how many pennies each one receives. So if they end with $1400, each person in that section gets $14. Not too bad for spending a day in the audience being entertained. Later episodes would have $1750 being given out per show, which works out to $8750 per week, plus celebrity appearance fees.

It would be interesting if they brought this show back today. But they would have to find a host who knew as many people in Hollywood as Bert Convy did and have the same likable personality, and that would be hard to find. Plus they would need to have a comedians' quick wit. Martin Short or Jim Carey would have been great at this, if they were younger. WRZ 2020-07-28
