I just Found In Flames and god Dame they maybe be one of my new favorite metal bands right along with Soulworks. Sweden just doesn’t miss.

Pinball map, Take this life, Crawling through knives and insipid 2000 are some of my favourites! A fan since of them since 1997 ! The lost their touch for a few years! Great musicians over all, they can do anything!

They've made so many good albums over the years but if you have time for one, go check Come Clarity album... Discovered the band with that album 17years ago and ate everything from them from that moment!! Was something unique to me and huge step!! You have so much to discover... Lucky you!! 🤣😉

Also you should check out The Halo Effect, mostly former members of In Flames. I didn't know what to make if them at first, but they grew on me

"mostly" - They have ALL been in In Flames at some point. I think the singer is the person who has spent the least ammount of time with them. He was the vocalist on their first ever album Lunar Strain.

In Flames are pioneers of melo-death metal they basically invented the genre. Clayman album made me metalhead, back then it was called Gothenburg metal (City in Sweden they are from). Like Jonathan said you have so much to discover 🤘

In Flames we trust \m/ So many great songs to discover! I almost envy you lol. Four bands got me into harsh vocals & growl - opened my mind up so to speak (used to hate it - now I love it) Those bands were 1. In Flames 2. Soilwork 3. Scar Symmetry 4. Arch Enemy - and from there so much music was discovered... Cheers from Sweden!

Recommendations for each kind of different sounding era of In Flames (albums): early 1990´s up to year 00 melodeath era: The Jester Race up to Clayman middle alternative metal era from early 00´s up to 08: Reroute to Remain up to a Sense of Purpose 2010´s pop metal era: Sounds of a Playground Fading up to I, the Mask You will see that these guys handle different genres within their records, although it´s up to your taste

With a few other bands like Soilwork they're OG, and unlike some of the others they can still cut it. When Old Skule did it, I thought of you, that you would love it. I wasn't wrong and it shows 👍😃

Tbh this is more towards mid era In Flames (they've 3 very distinct ones). If you're enjoying I'd recommend either Jotun or Colony early era, maybe Pinball Map and Take This Life mid era and Where The Dead Ships Dwell / I The Mask from later era 🙂 hope you enjoy your journey if you choose to listen to more 🙏
