The KeyChain is the Tool :)

It's funny how many commenters listen to your expertise/knowledge/experience about how the Taurus is every bit the quality with better ergos than the Sig but comment that the Taurus "looks cheaper" (very subjective at the least) and say they will buy the Sig instead. Personally I will save $200 and purchase the Taurus. Put the $200 into a holster and ammo instead.

I swore I'd never own a taurus semi auto. I tried out a GX4 and didn't hate it. Then PSA had them for 299. I was looking for a pocket pistol. My taurus arrives tomorrow.

The small gun-keychain has a bladed end that can be used as a disassembly tool. Good comparison video!

The GX4 has the same or better performance for almost half the price. Most 365s are $500-$600, I just bought the GX4 at Academy for $306 and a 13 round mag for $20

I paid $199 at PSA for my PT 111 Millenium. Works like a champ. Feels like a champ. Carries like a champ. Shoots like a weapon designed to protect my life or my loved one's lives. I am very happy with this weapon.

The Beretta style takedown on the Taurus is meant to be turned with a case rim or the bottom blade on the "handle" of the keychain

Finally someone does a breakdown comparison of the gx4 properly. I imagine when that trigger gets broken and a little bit it works like a dream.thanks!

It would help if you would read the GX4 manual. The key chain is the slide release tool. Also, if the Sig was used it would have an advantage with the trigger pull. The GX4 loosens up after 300 rounds.

as said before by someone, you do not need a tool to take down the GX4, a 9mm round casing (the end of the round) will do the job, so anywhere the gun is your ammo will be there also

I have the Sig and like it. The Gx4 looks to have very nice fit and finish similar to the Sig. Definitely going to check it out.

Got me seriously considering selling one of my pistols to make room for the gx4. Really like what they did with the full length stainless rails & the e.z. takedown... I can't wait for a 1K round status update to see how it holds up

I don't understand why he thinks it's all ready a norm to have the need to upgrade a gun's parts after buying it new? That's some weird victim mentality, especially for glock fans who think it's acceptable to have that mentality to buy a broken pos at a high price and needs to be immediately upgraded. Weird.

Man, what a huge upgrade over my Sig 365 and 365XL. More real estate for the off hand which is important for shooting these micro's. Thank God that Tarurus saw that hulky take down lever and slide Stop and did not go the same route, but made it flush. I love the take down of the Taurus. Just use anything, like a round casing or magazine. I could not believe I got mine for under $350.00. Really nice build quality. I mean NICE! Love the all steel chassis, the nice rails, the gun slide rides so smooth. And I love the Trigger for EDC. The Definite, controlled break at the wall is just perfect for EDC. Bravo to Taurus, a really great firearm By the way, this was my first Taurus and I became a instant believer.

Just bought a Gx4 for $350 and I noticed that about the keychain being the tool. Ingenious actually. Now youll always have that in case.

I am a Sig Sauer P365 XL owner. It’s great to see videos comparing everything else to it. It makes me feel very confident in my purchase for my EDC.

Nice video. It boils down to what feels the best in your hand. Taurus since production has started in the US, has stepped up their game. I have a G3c as a boat gun, but its very nice. Most negatives are from people that don't even own one. For what you pay this seems to be a very functional and consistent firearm.

I love my Sig P365. I was even able to get a very sleek looking light/laser for it for around $150.

I'll roll with the GX4. Never liked the 365 because the grip is too thin for my hands. Taurus has a changeable back strap

Also Taurus has the magazine accessories on their website already for the pinky extension, mag extension, etc.

I am awaiting the call to pick up my new Sig P365 🙂. I can’t wait I have been Carrying a Springfield XD 9 subcompact for 12 years now. I am definitely ready for something a bit more compact.

Great review. Sig 365 with safety is ambidextrous. Small, unobtrusive safety is on both sides of frame.

Gx4 XL is the one I’m been thinking about getting . I have a Taurus G3TORO and it’s been really great. Has far has micros go another one is the IWI Masada micro slim 9

Ameriglo front sight for Taurus gx4 is $30

Looking into a 9mm of this size, and since the tuarus has been a reliable gun fir me in the pt-111g2 I may give this a go and it’s priced right too!

Oh and fyi I’m a fan of Taurus and would love to get my hands of the new GX4! It will be my everyday carry for the summer and I’ll keep my G2C for winter Carry. My G2C is flawless and had it for years with zero flaws or malfunctions.

The magazine empty has a metal edge looking from the back number 5-4 holes looking at by the yellow 45° can be used for screw driver to turn it 45° to release slide

I've never needed to disassemble any handgun in the field. It seems like it's more a "it might happen" rather than a "It will happen".

I have the Sig p365 but I love guns and will be getting the GX4 very soon.

GX4 T.O.R.O. (optics-ready version) comes with two 13-round mags. Got mine for $339.

Got mine for three0nine and love it. A piece of brass is all you need to break it down but you got the keychain.

You can also use any 9mm bullet to turn the spin lock and release the slide, if you keep your gun loaded then you always have a tool👍

I think the Taurus is going to be a winner if it proves to reliable and I see no reason it wont be. This would make a great entry into concealed carry.

As always, thanks for the great info. Taurus has made very good pistols starting with the pt111, all of the G series, and the TX22. The GX4 looks like they are continuing that quality. I would consider it if I liked micros, which I don't.

Keltec p11 was the "first in this class" but the Sig had the name and supply to be the one ppl remember

I bought my GX4 for my NEW EDC. Wasn't looking for a firearm that was Red Dot Optics ready or had a 'rail'. I wanted a small 9mm that would be the best for self defense, concealment, yet have quality and be dependable. I wasn't going to be in any shooting competition with the GX4 as I have other firearms for that. Purchased the GX4 at my local Scheels and got the last one in stock at that time. 329.00 Put the Amerigo Glow Dot front sight on and a big+ over the white factory front sight. 29.95 Received the pinky extentions (2) for the two 11 rd mags that were included and that completed the grip for me....good to go with my pinky on board. 9.98 Of course my 13 rd mag has the extension. That's all I needed to do get the GX4 the way I wanted it on my hip.

I have purchased three Taurus handguns, all of which I purchased new. All of which have problems. The latest purchase was a GX4XL T.O.R.O. I has the fail to reset problem. I should have taken heed from the first two that are problematic. Before purchase, I would strongly encourage one to research GX4 problems.

Taurus does offer higher capacity mags on their website. I have the GX4 ordered pinky extensions and a new mag from them. They arrived to my house within a week. I also have the P365 this is a great review on both firearms. Thank you!

Excellent road test. Actually, the Sig has a 3.1” barrel, but otherwise very fair. I bought the Sig because it has had any kinks worked out, and I got it with the manual safety which doesn’t seem to (yet) be available on the Taurus. I have owned Taurus 9s and think they are great values.

Just use a shell case or any other item like a key and turn it. Simple or use the supplied key chain tool

The GX4 come with a Keychain pistol that is the take down lever the bottom of the Keychain where the clip is have a ridge that fit right in the take down slot you turn it and the slide comes right off.

I love my gx4xl shoots fantastic also just got a Taurus 357 model 65 also vary great shooting gun

Taurus offers a 12 and a 14 rn mag on the website. They have stripped down that thing and made it smooth as hell on the sides left off features like accessory rails and other garb to change what does weapon was intended for. I get it and I got it 💚 also they give you the option to carry the tool in your pocket with your car keys at all times

Good review. Although a clone of the P365, the GX4 is a better value. Think I'd pass on both though for either a Hellcat or a Shield Plus.

Rolling breaks vs hard breaks have their advantages and disadvantages. I have taken my P365 to classes and gone toe to toe with people running much bigger guns while using a stock FCU. Yes, I may have made some changes to the slide and the grip module, but the trigger is the same (polished up and broken in from years of use). I will be clear, though. I have changed the slide, added a red dot, added a light, and changed to the wilson combat XL module. But I feel just as capable with this setup as I do with my full-size PDP or my 19.5.

I owned 2 P365s. I could not get used to that grip or trigger. Sold both. Went back to Glock. The GX4 looks like what a G43 doublestack should be.

I like the new tours that’s pretty nice might get one of those instead of a Hellcat

Great review. Thank you. I think the takeaway here are the night sights. Adding the $80-100 to the Taurus is starting to put you in the Sig range price wise. But, can definitely see a very strong market for the Taurus too.

does handgunhero have both? the key width is the typical NOT the width at a small feature like the slide release etc

Can you replace the plastic on the Taurus like you can on the p365? It's less than $30 to replace the grip module if you need or want on the 365. That's a huge selling point to me. I love mine.

I finally decided to trade in my p365 for a G4X. Don't like the trigger on the Sig and a toro comes red dot ready. I won't miss the night sights. The cheaper mags is nice too plus I think it's prettier and the black finish on the slide is darker.

I have both. I got the Gx4 for @$250. The grip on the P365 is tiny. I had to put on a Hogue grip. I also upgraded the trigger on the Sig. Still, the Gx4 trigger is much better. I purchased the Sig 2 years ago, the Taurus, several months ago for $300 less. IMO, thus far, the Gx4 seems to be the better buy.

It just seems like you get a lot with the Taurus for the money, as usual. Right now there are 5 micro 9mm's that everyone is comparing but the Sig is still holding its own, even though its been out the longest. I can't make up my mind and by the time I finally do there will probably be a new micro 9mm that is also great, lol. You speak rather fast but your review was very good. 👍🏼

I really like my Taurus GX4 and don't really see the take down as any big deal given (in an emergency) you can use a 9mm shell casing to turn it...or, the keychain tool included with the gun. To me it is more ergonomic in my hands than my Sig P365 because using my normal grip when firing, my support hand thumb wants to ride on the take-down lever on my Sig...Great video and great little gun 👍

I bought a Hellcat OSP right before I even knew the GX4 existed or I might have gone that route. I have the G2c and G3 plus the G3c I bought for my daughter. The Hellcat has the takedown lever like the sig but rotates up and requires a trigger pull to release the slide.

I love my sig but that Taurus shoots so clean. I ran 5 mags through one and it feels good. It’s modeled after the hellcat but I like it better
