Oil in the mag will hold dirt, clean it with soap an water, dry and spray with a dry lube of your choice and walah no more dirt issue. Good luck, enjoy your videos.

I agree with you and back when I made this video everything I said worked for me! Now I’ve learned more and I agreed with using dry lubricants for select applications. Until next time and Thank you for commenting!

Great video. Solved my problem. Cleaned surfaces with dry rag only..inside and out. Also noted, I was using a speed-loader sold by Tandemkross. That loader does not always correctly seat rounds for a double stack in a 16 round Taurus magazine. I switched back to the original one provided by Taurus and I have no more problems.

Did another modification to my 16 Round magazines today. My magazines are stamped with a #5 on the side. Two years ago with my first Taurus TX-22, I had magazines stamped #1&2. Had same jamming issues and never solved jamming with those two. I don't know what the numbers are but they could be edition series numbers. So I dissembled my first #5 magazine and shortened the bottom end of the coiled spring buy 3 loops..about 1 inch. My thoughts were the spring is currently too strong and feeding the round into the feeding area too fast. Reassembled the same modified magazine and loaded it with 16 rounds of CCI mini-mag. Tested it. It works flawlessly! Modified the other mag the same way. Tested it. It works flawlessly! Something else to consider...I'm happy with this mod.

Mag Warehouse sells a 16 round magazine with an anodizes steel body. It has a poly floor plate and poly follower. I ordered one for about 23 dollars. Looks like the feeding lips on the mag are polished steel. I'll update after I use it.

yes..less susceptible l l to warping. It appears the Glock 44 magazine is a heavier poly. On my current TX-22 poly mags..I see a slight chipping just forward of the feeder lip. I believe the steel will prevent that wear on the lip.

My tx22 started out great and ran pretty flawlessly. I’m prob close to 2000 rds through it. A couple months ago it started malfunctioning. The slide locks back after every shot. I’ve tried different ammo, I took apart and cleaned it including the slide internals, I also cleaned the mags. I think it’s a mag issue because it’s locking back as if the mag is empty. So it’s not detecting the following round. Any suggestions?

My first thought is to try a new mag maybe? I'm close to 2,000 on mine too, so I'll check out my gun tonight or tomorrow and see if I notice anything that might help you.

Not sure on that one, but when in doubt just use gun lubricant! Fry lubricant should have food base ingredients also added to it as well, so that alone is a good reason not to use it. I sent you a couple options you can buy off Amazon if interested. I always double up my hearing protection. Unless I'm shooting 22 then just one or the other. Never had a miss feeding problem with my tx22 ,mine will feed any 22lr I put it the magazine

I've had feeding issues that cause jams in other hand guns that I've used, so I know it can cause problems having a dirty mag/clip! I made the video, because other guys that also have the tx22 reached out to me and asked if I was experiencing any problems? So I made the video for them and anyone else that needs the help! @@pewpewswithmr.x I have shot several thousand rounds at this point. I had disassembled the magazines, cleaned and dry lubed them but it didn’t improve the situation for me. I even bought a 10 round magazine to see if that made a difference, it didn’t. I also am careful about stacking the magazine with bullets. Nothing seems to do the trick except use specific ammo.

Be carefull using clp, the mag is made of plastic.

Most of the gun is plastic? Where did you read that clp is bad for plastic? I’ve never heard that and have never had any issues. If it is bad thanks for letting me know. I was just wondering if you experienced an issue or if you read it somewhere? Thank you!

@@pewpewswithmr.x i think your supposed to use a teflon or wax type product on plastic mags. Petrolium based products could make the plastic sticky. I'm no expert though. I have this gun and 4 mags and have never had an issue.

I use a couple drops of Lucas Extreme Duty Gun Oil on both sides of the slider grooves for the magazine loading button. It puts a nice safe polymeric film coating in the groove. Then slide the button up and down to fully coat the groove.
