This is one of my favourite pinball machines to play. It was also one of the first to make me realise there was more to pinball than not letting your ball drain.

Always amazes me how well Bowen can play WHILE talking and offering tips at the same time! I'm sure that some of his drains would be avoided if he was just concentrating 100% on playing. Very entertaining series of videos. I wish that I had had someone showing me all of these advanced ball control techniques back when I was spending a lot of time in arcades.

A local roller rink had this when I was a kid. It was always a blast to finish skating, grab something from the concession stand and watch people play this one.

Ahh childhood. When I got the Williams collection on PS3 this was my fav table. Easy to play hard to master

'Taxi' was the very first pinball table I ever fell in love with, mainly because of the dancing text upon picking up Gorbie. By the way, one multiball strategy that isn't mentioned in this video is the fun Crossover shot: Once you separate both balls, if you shoot both ramps at the same time, it's worth a cool 250,000.

Love this game, well played Bowen. Always learn from these vids, this one included (knew I would) even though I have 1st at my arcade with 5M on Taxi. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, its much appreciated.

I loved this machine for its speed. It was a ramp shooter so I could practice ramp shooting all day long.

in my opinion it's a masterpiece, combining aggravable music perfection with a combination of lures and vocals that are very attractive and totally tuned to your theme, but that the cradle of this music has a lot of soul onlyh see the game of lights in the jackpots only that

8:18 - Well, programmers of this game didn't had time to make the patch, which fixes this bug... Other bug: Riverboat Gambler has a little bug in the easter egg: you can softlock the game by displaying "Hello world" after ball gets locked in the slot machine(when it's lit). The only way to continue is to tilt the game.

Great video and thank you! Could you explain the cab lanes / multiplier that comes with them? I can never seem to figure out how to get them going.

Getting the CAB lanes advances the Multiplier. On default getting to the Bonus Multiplier to 4X lights Extra Ball at the Drac Hole(you lose it if you drain the ball before collecting it).

Am I crazy? After hitting 1 and 2 on the multiball, it seems like taking 100k per ramp would be a WAY more effective use of flips rather than trying to do all the work involved to pick up 5 passengers and then cash in a limited-time jackpot that is only worth -- assuming you hit the jackpot that is only lit briefly -- about a million points. It seems like just taking as many ramps as the multiball will give you is going to be more effective mathematically in the long run? Am I missing something?

As far as I know, it is 3 ball not 2 ball. I have never seen a 2 ball pinball machine. Only 3 and 5.

He's referring to the multiball. My old Pinbot (Williams pin from 86) also has a 2 ball multiball.

Certain solid state pinball machines do have either 2 ball multiball, or 3 ball multiball, or both, while referring 2 ball multiball as "quick multiball" in most cases. Bally Midway's The Addams Family is the case, where there are both mentioned multiball modes. As a side note in case of electromechanical machines: Bally's Fireball and Four Million BC had similar case with multiball as TAF, yet you could release the ball from either lock location separately, or from both of them at once if possible.
