Honestly, thank you so much for saying this because I agree with you 100%. For me, it sucks she left Gossip Girl because I loved her and Jenny and Nate with my GG OTP and I'm still obsessed and like to pretend they wound up together but it's still her life. She wants to work on music, not acting and she can do what she pleases. We have no right to judge her for anything she does.

it's a shitshow. I watched the few episodes from season 1 and was so bored.

Several reasons from what I’ve gathered from different interviews but mainly because they didn’t like the show nor their characters at all, the series got them *A LOT* of exposure at a very young age and that was hard to handle as well, and it wasn’t exactly a healthy work environment. The show glorified conceited selfish shallow privileged white kids. The only characters which actually criticized this sort of life were hated (Vanessa & Jenny) and people started to relate the real cast to their characters. The main cast have stated multiple times that they couldn’t stand their characters and the thought of people relating the persona of the character to the real them was frustrating. Imagine portraying something you dislike but everyone ends *loving* it. This sort of exposure and discomfort was visible on set and that made everything harder.

Bad Bitch Molly Jenny was unpredictable The storylines were repeating after she left. Blair and Chuck breaking up and making up (when we all knew they were going to be endgame) and Serena choosing between Nate and Dan although all along she wanted Dan. At least she brought excitement to the show and made Nate more interesting to watch.

We knew they were going to get married but Instead we got two immature people pretending not to like one another for six seasons. I would rather watch the build up to the marriage and the planning for the baby as there was a lack of growth. Jenny was problematic. She keeps you on your toes as she seems cute but she has a dark side. Fans underestimated her
