Now I'm the opposite to you. I have 25 TEWs because I like shiny. Every time I see a patinated blade my brain screams "clean that blade"!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I do have quite a few carbon steel knives but I always clean them, even if it's just to remove my finger prints, before putting them away.

He just received a recent order of them so I wanted to grab one while I could. I grew up around Sheffield knives and partly grew up not far from there. It is a shame TEW don't do carbon steel, I think at one time stainless was their thing maybe before it was common and they're sticking to it. I'm lead to believe it is 420 but there's 420 and 420. Have a TEW Lambsfoot from the 1950s and the steel sharpens up like a razor if you look at it too long. Don't actually have a TEW Barlow (the Lambsfoot and a Stockman) as I like the A Wright carbon Barlow to use on tasks involving wood. I'm glad you like your TEW, They are good functional knives that will last a lifetime of even heavy use.

Nice one! I decided to carry mine due to this video! TEW makes a nice user, although I prefer Wrights. (Even with the spring issues) TEW Premier seems to be the go-to for top-quality Sheffield cutlery, and while I know you aren't a huge fan, they're worth a try if you can find one at a decent price. I totally agree with what you've just said it's only a matter of time before the moisture Gets In Through The the filing on the back spring carrying a knife in your hand with the acid that comes out of our pause I'm pretty sure it's only going to accelerate it don't get me wrong I do have Taylor's eye witness an arthritis nice knife but no failing Michael my I half an hour away from where they make them very interesting but I prefer Rough Riders believe it or believe it not I like the new rough rider Barlow that is just come out with the red smooth bone can't get a so I'm the same as you may be able to get it in England soon or other than that play Over the odds for postage but I think the worth it anyway thumbs up
