Taylor explained the scene with the hands in the hall by comparing how men get praised after spending the night with a girl but if it were a woman instead, she'd be expected to have the walk of shame.

Men don't exactly get 'praised' for it. And there are reasons why it has different reactions. It's much more difficult for a man to find woman willing for one night stand than it is for a woman to find man willing for one night stand. It's simple logic.

Oh my god, I'm not sure if I'm jumping to conclusions, but maybe the hands represent "the invisible hand", implying that men are applauded and receive more support in society? The music video has so many details for us to decipher. Classic Taylor-style mv! p.s. Larry Wilson is the masculine form of Lana Wilson's name, the female director of Miss Americana :)

Taylor basically ended men everywhere Edit: to all the men in the comments attacking me. This was meant to be a joke. If you were a good man, you wouldn’t know that this song wasn’t about you. It was about the men that did act like this. I understand that all guys aren’t like this but I was simply making a joke. But if you’re taking offense to it, maybe you’re mad because you felt attacked by the video cause you act like that. I know plenty of guys who LOVED the video. They know that don’t act like that so they could enjoy it. Just saying 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Oh I have a theory that Cruel Summer mv is coming on July 20, as you can see in the meter there’s a poster that says “man vs...” well there’s a date in there “july 20” and T said that she thinks that CS should be a summer single (in the cat’s premier) and we know she loves easter eggs so yeah...
