This was one of the best experiences of my life! Thru Hiking Entire Appalachian Trail in 120 Days (Full documentary)
In 2020, I attempted to thru-hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Unfortunately, the pandemic took me off the trail just 3 short weeks into my journey. :(
Delays happen... Although I had to wait a bit longer than anticipated, I’m grateful for the experience.
Fast forward to 2021, its Appalachian Trail redemption! That’s right! I’m stronger than ever and ready to conquer my dream of completing the Appalachian trail.
In this video, I vlogged my FULL 120 day journey on the Appalachian trail. Intrigued? Check out everything I did everyday on the trail! You will want to watch until the end.

Taylor, You will remember this for the rest of your life. I spent two whole summers hiking and backpacking around the country, 1968-1969. I was 27-28 and really fit, I'm almost 81 now and am still active, think of the wonderful adventures yet to come, live life to the fullest, without regrets. Have a wonderful marriage:) Cheers, Frederick "Rik" Spector

Just wanted to tell you that your vlogs were the beginning of so many great changes in my life. I had been on disability for PTSD for 5 years and was miserable. I felt like life was passing me by and my fears ruled my life. One day your thru hike popped up on my feed and I followed along your hike. I asked my parents if they would watch my dogs to see if I could give it a try in 2022 and they agreed. Although I only made it 200 miles last year due to severe IT band syndrome and the PTSD, there was something so significant about experiencing the terror nightly and yet walking forward the next day. That experience and the kindness I experienced on trail gave me the courage to try it in real life. In September I started my first FT job in 5 years in special education. Through the anxiety, I kept moving forward. I plan to do a SOBO thru hike this year. I believe the lessons I've learned and the courage I've gained along the way will see me through. THANK YOU for all your hard work that went into sharing your journey. It led me to the first step in mine.

You are the first video I watch of the AT and have just confirmed in my head that at 65 when I retire this is going to be my first adventure in starting March of 2028. I just found your video of hiking the AT in 120 days. I really enjoyed it. I hiked the AT in 2005. I had a 4 month interval in which I had to complete my hike. I was 62 a marathon runner with no previous hiking experience. I ended up in the hospital 4 different times with poison ivy, cellulitis, MRSA and anemia. I actually got admitted to the hospital with cellulitis. Family issues have eliminated the possibility of any hiking after the AT. I am now 80 and have returned to running. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your videos.

Rewatching about a year after you made this and having just done a simple 2-day hiking loop of the Whites in this insane '23 wet, wet, wet summer season. Found myself thinking of your videos a lot being in NH and wanted to be sure you get credit for motivating people to get out and check it all out. (Your regular vlogs are even more responsible for that. If you ever have thoughts people aren't being motivated by you, they are!) Here is some more reassurance that your '23 AT hike decisions were so smart. Especially as they are your stomping grounds and YOU KNOW. This edit is special to the entire AT community, across years, and years to come. Go you!!

Thank you for taking us along Taylor. Such a beautiful adventure you went on and completed 🙌 As a former Vermonter now living in N.C. just south of Franklin near the GA border in the mountains I know the beauty of the northern and southern Appalachians and loved this!!! I almost planned a thru hike back to N.E. in 2017 but the realization of all the planning, financially and keeping life's balance and a bad knee kept me from taking the nearly 2200 mile leap. I am very happy you did it and proud of you as it's many a true hikers and outdoors person achievement. Congrats and thanks again for taking me on the adventure I couldn't put together. John.

Really enjoyed this video - you have such great enthusiasm. I finished the 4000 footers this past Summer and working on the 14ers of Colorado now. Your tears in the 100 mile wilderness somehow really touched me. It reminded me of just how much heart and love there is in the woods, and how it opens me up to stand and move through the wilds like that. And I had unexpected tears when you crossed into Maine and had the Baxter beer! :) What a wonderful journey! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this most amazing adventure. Have never done a hike like this before, but I completely identify ... because my "adventure" akin to this were my two cross-country bicycle rides (first one back in 1993 and then a second time in 1999). Totally different in so many ways, but so totally akin to your trek. All I can say is, "Three cheers, Taylor! You are a true hero!" This chronicle of your trek was one of the most fun experiences I've ever enjoyed, following your trail posts, reading your comments, and cheering you on. Well done. If you ever get to Ridgefield, CT, please look us up ... I'm Al, my wife is Jan ... and together, we are the only Galletly family (to the best of my knowledge) in Connecticut. Again, thank you for sharing your incredible adventure with all of us. It's been a real joy "being with you." xoxo

Just watched your video "Connecting My Footsteps" from 7 months ago. I am so proud of you Taylor. When I made my comment before I did not realize that you DID already do my suggestion about returning to Virginia to officially finish the AT by hiking the missed section of trail. I could see in your eyes that it must have been a great feeling especially when you consider the fact that you drove down there 13 hours and back. Also, you did it "within the year" anniversary. I live in New Hampshire too and have my 4k certificate completed in 1992 and again in 2002. Hiked the AT from Hanover to Errol and stayed at all the AMC huts. Greenleaf on Lafayette is the only one not right on the AT. Subscribed now and catching up on all of your videos. Many memories.

The longest was from Caledonia State Park, PA to Harper’s Ferry, WV. In fact I was on the AT when President Nixon resigned. It’s amazing the infrastructure that has developed to support the AT through hikers since then and how you can stay connected with phones, etc. to family and the outside world…

Thank you for bringing back many fond memories of my 2004 thru hike. Almost 20 years later and I still have trail flash-backs. You can leave the trail but it never leaves you... LWOP Ga-Me2004 Thanks for all the hard work you put into this wonderful documentary.

Todays date 9/2/23, Just watched your whole documentary. Wow! I plan on attempting the nobo route April 2024 and turning 53 on it. Researching now, I had NO idea of the planning that goes into this. My great friend who is an avid outdoorsman, has told me this hike will change a person forever. I'm sure it did for you as well. Lots of great tips in your video, us newbies thank you. Will plan a few small short hikes in NC before then, then off to GA. Congrats to you and all the others who have completed this incredible adventure of endurance. Well done Lady, well done...

I so enjoyed watching your trail hike video and very glad you shared it. You were a shear joy to observe. I now have greater confidence in my daughter's plan to hike The Camino de Santiago in Spain. Mostly as it's a shorter hike. Glad you made it.

This is an amazing Video, thank you very much ✨You are always smiling, even when it's hard. Beautiful person. 🌻 I'm German and we have a trail cross our country for a few years now, the NST- North -South-Trail. It's as long as the AT and I'm going to hike it next year. Now my kids are grown up, and I'll do it, before my dog and me are getting to old for such a challenge. I've enjoyed your video very much. Love and many wonderful trails for you, young and tough lady 👍

I enjoyed that immensely. What a stunning achievement. The whole experience was fabulous to watch. I’m in England and we have trails but not as long as the AT. Unless you walk around the whole of the UK coastline. Well done and you have a new subscriber. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇸
