Remember when Miguel, Demetri and Eli first met in the school cafeteria in season 1 and saw Jasmine, Sam and Moon walk by? Back then, you would never think they would be together, but somehow they all got together.

Honestly, it was really impressive how quickly Johnny was able to adapt to Daniel's arm-numbing strike. Johnny even scored a point.

I think it's very fitting that Johnny's montage music was 'In The Burning Heart' by Survivor. That's a Rocky song, and Daniel's music track 'Your The Best', from the first Karate Kid movie, was originally intended to be used in Rocky III but got replaced by 'Eye of The Tiger', which also by Survivor.

Rocky was actually the reason that Karate Kid was made. The studio asked the writer to come up with something similar to Rocky, bc it was such a big hit. That’s why they keep doing the callbacks.

From what we know of Sam, she would not act this way if she really knew Tory and her backstory. All she sees is the way Tory acted towards her, the PTSD she got from her, Tory attacking her with a weapon, destroying Mirage's portrait, so I think it's reasonable for Sam to act this way right now.

I am really on board with Demetri& Yazmine together.... he really is a good influence on her . I really enjoy Demetri's friendship with Hawk just as much as Daniel and Johnny's... although Demetri and Eli started as friends seeing their bond change and develop from then to now is inspiring to me . You both are really great at pulling me back in even though it has been a Hot minute since I binged watched season 4 when it came out.... I still get invested watching Cobra Kai in your channel . Silver went to Miyagi's to request no fighting until the All Valley which was actually admirable. He did not go to only apologize. Understandable why Daniel would not trust Silver after the mind games in KK3 but was a sincere apology.

The person who deserves a raise for putting Johnny in a time capsule are the 3 brilliant writers . Speaking of time capsule one of the writers "Josh Healed' wrote the screenplay for " Hot Tube Time Machine"(2010) in which William Zabka( Johnny Lawrence) has a small but very memorable part in. You guys should most definitely check that film, i was in Hight school in the 80'`a and the film totally caoruree the time period.

Basically, Daniel and Johnny went all Street Fighter. Oddly enough, that's the thing about street fights: the streets always win. Hawk may have thought it was awesome to have them duel, but it was the complete opposite of what Miguel and Sam wanted. They were only there as referees so that their mentors don't tear each other apart… again. Neither Daniel nor Johnny is completely right or wrong. On Johnny's side, he's right about one thing: Miyagi-Do karate helped Daniel back in the 80's, but the modern times are a whole new ball game. At the same time though, brute force alone doesn't get very far. On Daniel's side, he's trying to prevent another injury or lockup. However, he's once again letting the fears from his past dominate him. Also, as much as I hate to admit it, I feel like he was really fighting dirty this time. He got desperate to the point where he felt compelled to use the pressure point technique. That move is solely for life-threatening emergencies, and fighting your long-time rival in a match for teaching rights doesn't count. Daniel could have just said no to the duel. The real answer was right in front of them, but he and Johnny are looking at their students like they don't know any better and they're not taking their ideas into account. Yet they don't realize how the disbandment is impacting the group. Daniel and Johnny aren't the ones competing, their students are. They're the ones benefiting from both styles, and they want to unlock their full potential.

Samantha dismissed Tory’s “sob story” in season 2 and the matter of Tory’s very ill mother in season 3 when Miguel brought her up, so I think the general canon-based consensus is that Sam has a pretty good picture of Tory’s troubles but doesn’t care.

A lot of people hate on sam by this point which I don't get. The show has given tory a redemption arch so the audience is on her side but not only has sam not seen that but tory literally traumatized her and has never apologized. Both good characters, I just don't get the audience hate.

Is it just me, but I feel like Silver genuinely regretted what he did to Daniel.

Silver's return is what threw Daniel off(not just the 1 line from Kreese) and ultimately led to the 2 dojos splitting. Otherwise they probably could have held it together.

Point of note, Johnny is the first and only fighter in the series that we see countering the Miyagi-do paralysis technique, by powering through and using his legs, after 'losing' an arm. Daniel just whined when he first encountered it. Kreese fought until he could no longer stand, then stared down defeat. But Johnny kept fighting and adapted to stop the technique cold. Forget the lame double KO, Johnny won that fight.

I feel like this show just rotates the same character flaws and cycles it through the characters to keep the tension up. the "good" and "bad" characters keep swapping. Still love the show but its a bit repetitive

Yeeeeah i didn't feel bad for hawk at all considering all the shit he did, he got off easy. Also your all thinking that sam cares what tory's story is and she doesn't really. She's a teenage girl, they don't give up on grades easily lol. The downward spiral started because johnny is still having a problem being an adult and got jealous because Danny was being a good teacher to his fake son lol Danny had the right idea but his ptsd from silva made him panic. Whats going on with Sam is the sam as what happened with Miguel, Johnny's influence has a way of bringing out the asshole in others. Also Danny is making the mistake in thinking that robby is like him even though robby has made it clear to kreese, johnny and now Danny that he doesn't trust any of them and that he's not as dumb as them to trust them.

I agree, having Johnny be such an anachronism was brilliant. But as I’ve said way back in season 1, they just have to be careful. Because Johnny reminds me of Homer Simpson in the early seasons of that show where he’s a bit of an dummy but he’s still likable and not totally an idiot and can still get things done. Whereas now, Homer is a total idiot. Johnny needs to stay away from that.

Everything in this series is so contrived it's a bit silly, along with every single situation between anyone getting worse because the characters are "unable" to have a simple conversation with each other.

Personally I cheered that little twerp Eli getting his hair cut off. He's been a violent bully for three seasons, it's past time somebody gave him a taste of his own medicine. After intentionally breaking poor Demetri's arm over _a Yelp review,_ he should be grateful the haircut was the worst that he got in retaliation for all his vileness.
