Oren Shevlin is principal cellist of the WDR Sinfonieorchester and winner of the 1992 ARD Music Competition, while Julio García Vico won the German Conducting Award in 2019. Recorded live on December 3, 2020 at the Kölner Philharmonie.

The combination of a soulful romance melody and a cello timbre is a memory of a departed love ... A bright, agitated section before the reprise, like a memory of instant happiness, ends with a monologue - a cello solo, in which the pain of disappointment is heard. In the Reprise, the melody of the flute appears as a counterpoint. In this section, the duet of flute and cello - unfortunately, not a "duet of accord" is like an image from the past, which is only in memories
