"Cash and Guns" sounds like more fun. Interesting you know so much about Weimar. That's an important and mostly forgotten period of history.

Cash n Guns is a pretty fun game. I actually prefer this one, however. Weimar politics is a fascinating historical topic indeed.

I agree with you on the theme. I respect anyone who feels differently. But I too studied a bit on German history because I wanted to learn and remember how a monster is created. I wish more people would take the time to study this to ensure history does NOT repeat itself.

Cody this reminds me a little of Origins of WW2 by Avalon Hill. Have you played it? I really enjoy Origins is a 2-5 player game with back stabbing negotiations like Diplomacy fighting for political control of European countries and has a Historical scenario along with several What if scenario's. All this and it plays in about an hour. Best played with 5. BTW it can be bought under $12 on eBay. Browsing eBay I also so great 2 player game Caesar at Alesia on eBay for $12 Tow great games for $12 well worth it.

You've taken a somber tone with this review, and it isn't necessary. This is a well crafted game, that brilliantly incorporates the historical theme with game play. Playing this game associates the player with Nazis in the same way that a Middle Earth game associates you with Orcs, or Elves. In other words, not at all! People who will be offended, will be offended regardless of your approach. Don't change.

"This game is like The Resistance" Except that in the Resistance, you do not get to gun a player and you cannot investigate a player's allegiance to determine if he/she is a spy. So basically, The Resistance is Secret Hitler without the fun and more on analysis and talking. AND while they both have online versions of this game, You can NEVER PLAY The Resistance online given that THE ROOMS ALWAYS DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS TO START A GAME and once they DO, SOMEHOW THEY HAVE MANAGED TO CONNIVE WITH FELLOW FRIEND PLAYERS TO CREATE A ROOM AND DO NOT ALLOW OUTSIDERS TO JOIN. Unlike Secret Hitler. While they may have private game rooms, there are also PUBLIC game rooms and YOU CAN ALSO create one yourself.

I can't speak to the online versions of the game. In The Resistance: Avalon, there are variations that allow one good player to know who the evil players are, which makes for an interesting dynamic.
